We booked our stay at the Oyado Ishicho, but actually ended up at the Ishicho Shogikuen next door. The two hotels share facilities, and connect underground. This was confusing, but the staff was helpful.
The hotel has a very nice public bath, and provides yukata and towels. We really enjoyed having a nice relaxing soak after a long train ride from Tokyo.
The meals provided were outstanding, with lots of variety and fresh seasonal ingredients. Be warned that these are set meals; picky eaters might have a problem with this. On busier days a buffet is provided instead.
Our room was traditional tatami mats with futons. The staff did all the work moving furniture and rolling out the futons. It was very comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out.
