Annual Mountain Getaway - this year during July 4th.
Our entire family (children & grandchildren) spend a week in the smokies every year as a reunion and (for those of us from Florida) the chance to get out of the heat for a while. The view is beyond words.. The home itself is spectacular with views in every direction. The weather was a little warm this year so the second floor was little uncomfortable at night. The AC should be supplemented. The owners were very accommodating. A great vacation. Thanks.

Fabulous!
The house is as beautiful as all the pictures show. We had a wonderful family vacation in Lake Lure! The hosts provided everything we needed. We had a minor issue with the front gate and they responded quickly. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again if I were to visit the area.

Perfect Large Family Spot
Lora and Dan were great and so responsive both before and during our stay. The house was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We had our whole family there including a group of teens and everyone had room to spread out and be comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. The views are amazing!

The house was very clean, spacious. We saw a bear in front yard (highlight of our trip). Only problem was AC. Very warm on 2nd and 3rd floors. Could never get it cool enough.

Beautiful house with spectacular views
This home is gorgeous! The sitting rooms in both master bedrooms were so nice with great views. The house is so spacious and super clean. Check in was painless and the hosts even provided a gift basket. The hosts were wonderful in checking in and with leaving. The place is even better than the pictures shown. You won’t be disappointed!!

Incredibly beautiful home with amazing views
Beautiful family home with lots of space and incredible views. Loved that there were 2 refrigerators (one up and one down), grills for outdoor cooking, many bathrooms, fully furnished and all you needed to bring was food. Owners were VERY responsive when we had questions. This home is a MUST for vacations.

Amazing views!
We stayed in this home for one week in June. The best part of this house is the view from the expansive deck and patio. It is so impressive in person. You can see Lake Lure, the Chimney Rock flag, and of course the mountains. This house was a perfect fit for our family reunion. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, with the exception of the room with twin beds. The kitchen is well supplied with plenty of plates, silverware, etc. The owners were very responsive to questions we had prior to and during our stay. We appreciated the email they sent with suggestions of things to do in the area to help us plan our week. The only hiccup we had was finding the house. We realized that Google Maps directions are not correct (if you’re told to turn on a Girl Scout road, that’s the wrong way). Be sure to follow the written directions the owner sends. Overall, we loved the house and would absolutely stay again.
