Overall a great stay.
First room offered had not veen cleaned but another was offered immediately. Service was excellent in the restaurant, especially at breakfast and the spa/gym was also very good. The member of staff on duty on Thursday evening was both professional and pleasant and helpful.

Check in was advertised from 3pm, arrived at 3pm to be told room wasn’t ready, to wait in bar and they would inform us when it was, no one came so went back to reception at 4pm and room was ready. No explanation or apology for room not being ready. Seemed all guests were in the same boat Then at 530am the fire alarm went off so we had to get up dressed and go outside. Again no explanation or apology

Huge room but bath not accessible for my disabled mother. Had to unplug fridge as light flashing on and off through glass door. Room next to stairs and door creaked every time it was opened and closed. Did tell staff on reception but not corrected during our stay. 2 lights out in bathroom as well. Dinner and breakfast were excellent on one day but must have changed chef on other days as definite fall in standards

Anything on the menu?
On every night of my 3 night stay at this hotel I was informed by the staff 20-25 minutes after ordering my food, that the dish I ordered was not available. On one occasion after being told that my food was not available I re-ordered a different dish, waited an additional 10-15 minutes only to be again advised that the replacement meal I ordered was also not available!!! The staff members who served me were very apologetic and tried to assist but the issue clearly stems from the kitchen manager.

Ok for a night or two only.
I have stayed a few times due to location and motorway availability. Tired hotel decor in the room. Decent shower and toilet facilities. Decent heating and not just air con system. No bottle of water in room. 2 packs of biscuits. Two tea bags. Food is above average prices and below average quality. Always find the breakfast average at best with juices empty. People constantly looking for staff asking for juice to be filled. Staff are younger in the morning with no real leadership running the breakfast area keeping things running smoothly. It’s more customers requesting for issues to be fixed. Can you fill up the plate stand, juice station, bread etc rather than it getting managed by a competent person. The bar and Resturant area is reasonable size and bright. Furniture again is tired and can do with re-upholstery.

Welcomed with a smile, very quickly checked in. Room very clean, smelt fresh. Staff friendly in the bar. Grounds a little tired looking but obviously doesn’t affect stay. Will definitely stay again and would recommend.

Good stay
Good hotel. Nice walk behind hotel to centre of lancaster. Takes about 40 mins but like walking and weather was lovely so suited us fine. Complimentary water, juice, crisps and choc biscuits in fridge which was nice touch. Good breakfast. Overall enjoyable stay.

The prevalance of dogs in the Hotel was bad enough but there was a very loud dog which was allowed to sit in the dining area throughout our dinner. Incredible! The staff did nothing and the disgusting owners just smiled everytime their dog baked (loudly) Utterly bad. Furthermore, I had to argue with the staff to get them to turn off the music at breakfast as they kept saying "tun it down" and I had to insist that I was the customer not them! Would definitely NOT recommend unless you have dogs
