Quite a unique experience! The staff were great and the dining car food was fantastic. We were there during the off-season so the observation tower wasn't open and they weren't doing buggy rides from the parking lot, however, there are tons of places that offer buggy rides!

Great experience to sleep in an actual caboose! I rented the baggage car. Bed was a little firm for my taste, but overall, great for sleeping, nice and quiet area. The restaurant was right there and the food was delicious. Staff is very friendly. I would definitely do this again!

Unit was on a bizarre tilt, doors didn't stay closed or open, shower so small couldn't even fit in. If i had stayed i would have rolled right out of the bed. They did offer me another caboose, but by then i was so annoyed i just left. of course they didn't refund my stay even though we were only there a few minutes. If you have a better unit and the place is empty, why put us in the worst one at the start? newly updated? what, paint?. units are still worn and need renovations, not just a quick coat of paint. There are so many options in the area, just go elsewhre

Terrific fun experience staying in a caboose! Room was larger then expected and bonus - mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer, lots of towels. Was concerned it could be cold in November, but the heat worked great. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Gift shop is incredible. Lacks nothing except some background music in the dining car. Lovely property - thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Each “room” is an actual, repurposed, caboose. The restaurant is an actual dining car and the store has lots of train themed memorabilia, including a history of how the hotel came into being.

Nice experience. the Caboose are actually not very nice inside and a little run down (nothing worked: TV’s, AC Ect…). The kids loved it. Seems safe. The location is amazing.

It’s unique to sleep in a caboose in the middle of Amish farmland country! We loved the experience of being part of train history. The rooms are simple, but very clean. You have your own space, with a restaurant on the property. There are a couple cabooses that are split into 2 reservable rooms with separate entrances, but most of them you have the whole caboose to yourselves. The dinner food was excellent & staff was very friendly. It was very quiet at night as it is out in a farmland community but very close to Lancaster County attractions. Beautiful property!

A Unique Experience
It was a fun experience. However there are some things you should know. The bathroom that includes the shower and toilet are smaller than some closets. It is very difficult to dress in the small space, so if you have family members, it is either that or there is no privacy for dressing. The bunk beds are not made for adults. They are mattresses on a wood surface and short. Was it a fun stay? yes, just because of the experience. Was it comfortable? no. I'm glad we did it, but would not do again with a family.
