Pulling up to the hotel I was thinking I chose the wrong one because the outside is deceiving. They have no sign which I found out later was taken away with a storm. We went in to check in and it was like night and day. Clerk was very nice and welcoming. Inside is modern and beautiful. My kids were disappointed because the website said they have a pool which they do not. Rooms were clean and to date as well. Heater was very loud when it clicked it on but not to the point where we couldn’t sleep. Breakfast was good, just wish they had other meat choices as my daughter doesn’t eat sausage. Overall stay is a 8 out of 10 just because we were looking forward to the pool. Would definitely stay again without the kiddos!

New owners... sad sad changes
Apparently the new owners are only concerned about they believe to be their "bottom line". What they don't understand is that "the most expensive hotel room in Lansing is an empty room". The changes they are making are not helping their cause. I have used this location at least 30 times over the past to bring new business associates in for training. They "used" to serve a great hot breakfast that set them apart from any hotel I have stayed at anywhere. Tom and the other s that served this breakfast were second to none. I actually have met people at the location that would make plans to come to Lansing just to stay there for this reason and this reason alone. Now with paper plates and plastic silverware and the same ol same ol bagged scrambled eggs and patty sausage, it is the exact same "hotel" breakfast you can get anywhere else. The elevators still show their famous breakfast casserole however it is no longer being served.

The only complaint I had was the furnace in room made soo much fuss that everytime it came on it would wake me and my husband from our sleep because it sounds like some one breaking in! Other than that we enjoyed the hotels very friendly staff and the lady at the front desk name Angie had an awesome attitude so did the house keepers so two thumbs up to all!!!

The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is pretty impressive. It's clear that they generally cater to a business crowd. The rooms are generally nice, clean, and spacious, however if you look you can find some minor signs of disrepair, such as rust in the shower or a loose ceiling tile. In all, not a big deal.The amenities also feel less modern, such as no streaming on the television. The bathroom was my only real problem with my stay. Despite the spaciousness of the rooms, the bathroom felt small and claustrophobic, not much bigger than a closet. The shower, however, was the biggest issue. Even after letting it run, the water was far too cold to comfortably shower in it. That was disappointing, but since I was only staying one night, not that big of a deal. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a great place to spend a night, and I suspect a really good place to hold a conference.

Different room layout
The bed was comfortable. The heater was loud sometimes, but it didn't really bother me. You couldn't hear any noises coming in through the walls. I wasn't prepared for the room layout. The sink is in the bed area, so you'll be bothering people who are still sleeping if you go to the bathroom and wash your hands or if you're trying to get ready early. Breakfast was fine. It looks fancy, but it's just like other hotels except you have to interact with someone to put hot food on your plate. They also don't keep their cream cheese cold enough.

Hidden gem and great bang for the buck
The breakfast staff was warm and welcoming, and one of the best parts to start our day. Very good breakfast selection. In addition the front desk staff worked hard to accommodate us and even our dog. Angi as well as others at the front were friendly and knowledgable and made us feel welcomed. The room given to us was a suite which was clean, well designed and decorated. It gave us much need space to decompress and reorganize for the next half of our road trip. The open atrium design of this hotel and furniture are well appointed putting the interior of this facility comparable higher end hotels but at a lower price point. The outside of this hotel is nondescript and unassuming. Even the light up sign for this hotel is not working which is why I missed it initially at night sandwiched between other hotels. We would have loved to stay longer.

Nice Surprise
I like the design of this hotel, all rooms open to the middle lobby area, my room had a living area at the front of the room and the bath/bedroom at the rear with a door that seperated, it felt secure. Staff were exceptionally nice, the facility was clean. The couch in my room was pretty stained however it seemed clean.

Easy check in. Nice hotel with lots of room to sit downstairs if your travelling in a group .very clean. Hotel was almost full when I was there but very quiet. Needs more parking but yhats all hotels at capacity.

Best Sleep Ever!!!!
The best sleep I have had in a hotel in a long time. Most places I stay I find myself tossing and turning all night long. But not here! I was out like a light. I felt fully refreshed in the morning.

On the plus side, it's clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast is pretty good. On the down side, the rooms have the HVAC system in the sleeping area, and it's super loud. The first room was so loud I asked to change rooms.
