Night before Eurostar
Well this is a budget hotel for back packers etc which we’re not but we just wanted a cheap hotel prior to our early Eurostar train to Brussels. Check in was busy at 2pm but the room was clean and bed comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast which is served in the basement of the restaurant next door but one comment I overheard was positive. Loads of eateries, bars, cafes etc plus the shops at St Pancras & Kings Cross

Excellent value, nice bathroom and comfortable single beds. Can leave luggage to pickup later. There are currently building works directly opposite but they don't begin until 8am, so minimum disturbance. Room has a fridge, brilliant at this price

Good hotel at Kings Cross
This was a last minute booking, the day before I stayed, as I did not know earlier how long I needed to be down for, so I did not know much about the hotel, having never stayed there before. I have stayed at many nearby hotels and I think this probably has the highest standards among them. Certainly none have been higher, from my point of view, so it will certainly be on my list for the future, Their wifi is noticeably quicker than mine at home. My room was sparkling clean and well equipped. I did have some disturbance from external noise, which I managed with earplugs, but I was in a room facing on to Euston Road, apparently. The noise in the morning was from building work nearby, though, The convenience of the location far outweighed these minor drawbacks though. I was awake for much of the night but that seems to have been from a reaction to something I ate, causing wheeziness and bouts of coughing, nothing to do with the accommodation. I was able to leave my bag on arrival in London at the start of my trip and pick it up on my way to the train at the end. It would not have been allowed in the places I visited on either day.

Clean and Value for money
This was a one night last minute stay. I booked a double room and a quadruple family room. My review is based on value for money. The rooms were very clean. The shower room was modern with plenty of hot water and the towels were clean and soft. Small bathroom amenities were supplied. The view was non existant but we were't expecting one. There was a hairdryer; TV; coffee and tea and a small fridge for milk. The building itself is tired, has many stairs but also has a lift. I cannot comment on service as we didn't use any services and had little interaction with the staff. The room I occupied was over the underground and the trains were noisy rumbling under the building. The other room had a lot of street nolise. Some double glazing would help. For the price paid I was pleasantly surprised.
