Things to Do in Medina
The main draw is the tomb of the prophet located beneath the ornate domes of the Mosque of the Prophet, 21 kilometres from the airport. The Maqbaratu l-Baqi' cemetery, situated southeast of the city centre and within walking distance of the central hotels, is another attraction. Rumoured to be the largest cemetery in the world, Baqi houses the family and over 20,000 companions of the Prophet Muhammad. Complete your tour at the Qiblatayn Mosque, less than 1 kilometre from the city centre and the oldest mosque in the world.
Getting to & Around Medina
After arriving at Medina's Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport, head outside where a line of taxis will be waiting to take you to your Medina accommodation.
