First time staying here, the main lodge has retained its beauty, rooms were okay, pool was nice but once you start looking around, there were quite a few major repairs required from wood ratting around the windows, chips in the tile in the pool area, chalets had some roofs damaged from the winter, possibly. Picnic tables needed staining and outside of chalets could use a fresh coat of paint as well. The amount of dead trees in the park itself, is quite upsetting to me. I was here 30 yrs back and all the surrounding mountains were lush and green. Not so anymore.. lots of dead trees on every Mountain yoy can see within the park boundaries. lots of fallen deadwood on the ground too! With recent wildfires in Jasper National Park this year, I can see this exact thing happening in Manning Park.. literally! I’ve lived in BC my entire life and have not come across a region that looks as bad as this park. I can only wonder what E.C. Manning would think of how BC has destroyed his beautiful park. We dinned at the restaurant across I’ve main lodge, food was good, nothing special and service was good to begin with, but sparse when we were finished eating. The staff we talked with were friendly & knowledgeable including the park person at the information centre. I had a beautiful swim at Lightning Lk this morning after we checked out. I would like to return to Manning Park to explore the area more as there is plenty to do here! Just hoping someone gets on the fire remidigation asap

Overall the property was interesting and in good shape. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly. There wasn’t air conditioning and the room was very hot. The staff gave us two fans for our room. Not the best but the fans did help. The pool and hot tub were not very enjoyable . The pool water was very very cold and the hot tub was warm not hot. Didn’t stay very long in this area.

We stayed a couple nights in the hotel with our 2 kids and had a great time. The accommodations are simple and a bit dated but were just fine for this type of trip. The resort is only 2.5-3 hours drive from the lower mainland, in the middle of a beautiful provincial park with Lightning Lake and Cascade lookout nearby. The lake was quiet, perfect for a bbq, swim and canoeing or kayaking. The indoor pool and sauna was also the perfect way to end the day. Again the facilities are a bit dated but that’s ok as we still enjoyed the stay. The small grocery/gift shop has a few items if you need to restock some necessities as well as alcohol and some nice souvenirs. We went to the Bears Den restaurant on site which served some decent food with good portions. There’s also a pub on site which we didn’t get a chance to check out. Our stay was only 2 nights but we felt very refreshed and relaxed after…we’ll definitely be back!

A lovely stay at Manning Park, as usual. Clean, updated room at the Lodge, staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great, with lots of dining options, and our servers knowledgeable and helpful. During breakfast Amy, our waitress, was especially helpful, and provided us not just with simple menu suggestions, but paradigm-shifting insights into cosmology and the nature of consciousness. We’re thinking of naming our first child after her. She’s that good.

The cabin was nice and specious. Without AC, it was quite warm until quite bit later at night. The bed was harder than what I prefer so not comfortable for me but others may not find that to be too hard.
