Kick back, unplug, and chum up some yellowtail at one of the best locations in the middle keys! Casa Chiquita is a recently updated ground level pool home tucked away on the closest gulf side canal to the Vaca Cut in Marathon, FL. The property is directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico and has 75 feet of dockage. You’ll have a nice protected space for a boat or two and can be on the reef with a rod in your hand in minutes.

This three bed, two bath, mid-century island home has great vibes. It's bright, cozy, welcoming, and certain to put a smile on your face. Casa Chiquita features a heated pool (optional), screened porch for dining and lounging, a covered carport with a bait freezer, plenty of parking for your boat trailer and vehicles, and an abundance of south facing outdoor space to soak up some Florida sunshine.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need, flatware, dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, etc. There are towels, spare linens, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. The master has a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a 40” Roku smart TV. Each other guest room has a queen size bed and shares a common bath. There’s a sleeper sofa in the living room which can accommodate an additional 2. (8 maximum occupancy per local ordinance)

This home has smart features including voice controlled fans, lights, and air conditioning via Alexa devices throughout. There’s a 55” Roku smart TV in the living room for movie night.

Take a refreshing dip in the pool after a long day on the water. Listen to the palm fronds dance with the wind while you filet your catch at the fish cleaning station. Let the warm carribean sun melt your troubles away as you lose yourself in paradise.

The house was nice, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The pool was big for Keys and heating worked well. The canal was wide and deep enough and there was plenty of room to dock our boat. Really nothing to complain or worry about. Very relaxing, thank you!

Location, Location, Location!
This little gem was the sweetest treat!! We've never been to Marathon so weren't familiar with the area. Im always nervous about booking somewhere to stay with no idea of the area. Man this house does NOT disappoint! The location is literally in the middle of everything but set back so you dont know it. The house has been nicely furnished and has everything you need. The ONLY thing I found that I felt like could be addressed was the bath towels. They were small and pretty thin, might be time for new. But that is me literally finding something wrong. We all had something biting us throughout the night but couldnt find anything so assumed it just comes with the territory?! The house was clean and spacious, but the only thing you'll care about is the outside! Dock and pool area were awesome! My boys fished anytime we were at the house. We werent too hopeful b/c the house is at the end of the canal. We were wrong! Caught mangrove, tarpon, and even a couple sharks! Saw a sting ray and even a few manatees! I enjoyed afternoon cocktails in the hammock with a book and the boys loved the cornhole and the poker chips inside for game night! Trip was great, we will be back. Hosts were great, would recommend this house to anyone looking in the area!

An amazing property in a excellent location
The property was everything the pictures show and property was too notch. I had 8 family staying with me and we all slept comfortably. The property is centrally located in the keys so access to everything was very easy. Being on the canal made access to the water with our kayaks a breeze. The bonus was the pool and really made this property exceptional. The property management company was extremely easy to deal with, very prompt if i had a question and clear communication. I will be looking at their properties again and will look to use this house again.

Great Boating Location!!!
This property was perfect for our family consisting of 2 couples, our 16 year old son and his friend. We all loved the size of the pool, the protected dockage for our rental boat and really appreciated the communication from Melissa. She was great and responsive to us. For those intending to fish, there is even a pinfish trap and holding pen which we have never found in a rental property. You and your group will surly enjoy this house in a nice quite area on the North side with easy access to Vaca with limited no wake areas to travel through on the way to the ocean side. Hope you enjoy it as we did!

Loved being at Casa Chiquita, an updated one story on a canal with pool. The weather was warm and sunny for34 of our 35 days in Marathon.The owner was most hospitable and helpful throughout our stay . We took all meals on the large and comfortable screened porch . We loved being so close to the many fishing spots both inshore and ocean. Most every res taurant and tiki bar was willing to help us by cooking our fish for us when we were too tired to do so. All of us were intrigued the families of manatees who showed up frequently. A Fabulous Vacation!

Property was nice, only two issues..one with the pool there was a leak and don't feel we should have to fill the pool each day this needs to be address. Second issue is the location of the airport all flights go over property very close and is very loud. Otherwise property was enjoyable.

Everything about the house was perfect : the location (1 hour to Key West, 45 min to Islamorada, 10 min to 7 mile bridge ... walking distance to bagel shop, Walgreens and Marathon Lady fishing). We loved the manatees which would swim every evening to the dock. We loved the pool. Thank you for having us!!!

Great experience for our first VRBO stay
This was our first time staying in Marathon, and our first time staying in a VRBO. This location did not disappoint, and we especially enjoyed visits from the manatee in the morning. We stayed with 2 other couples, and this home was the perfect fit for all of us. We really only used the home to have breakfast, and sleep but I did take two dips in the pool, which was a nice feature. The house itself was clean, and stocked with plenty of dishes and linens. I will mention there was only 2 trash bags for the kitchen upon arrival, and we seemed to forget to buy some every time we went to store (haha), so that was the only minor inconvenience. Overall great experience, would recommend to others! Thanks :)

Great return trip to the Keys!!
The wife has been trying for sometime now to bring our girls to the Florida Keys since she grew up near by. The location of this place was in the middle of all the hot spots without being in the mix itself. Marathon is a fantastic place for family fun without all the ruckus. The dock was perfect for our snorkeling outing. Captain Daniel pulled right up to the back yard and away we went. The pool was a welcome soak after some shopping and beach lounging. Would definitely rent this place again …if the owners are willing to add Steelers grilling tools 😂😂.

House in Marathon Florida
House was clean, well supplied, our trailer broke down the owner Nick was there when we pulled in called a tow company right then & got it fixed. We could not put our boat in due to high winds, the kids fished the canal behind the house & did catch fish. We were able to put the boat in the last day, Nick the owner told us a good fishing spot and did catch fish. You could not ask for nicer people or comfortable home for a family vacation. Highly recommend it.
