It was a dream staying at the Dream
The Dream Hotel is a charming eclectic hotel. Located a block from the beach in South Beach. Its surrounded by a diverse collection of shops,restaurents and businesses. The hotel staff was wonderful. The rooms are cleaned and changed everyday. Me and my wife changed and extended our stay due to Hurricane Beryl hitting St Vincent and the Grenadines,where we were going for our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Location was amazing, staff were very welcoming! The only downside the hotel could use some aesthetic upgrades for the check-in are and the rooms. The rooms are very spacious compared to other locations that I’ve stayed. The shower is amazing and HUGE!

The pool was small, we had to ask for a fridge that worked and the cleaning service only changed the sheets once. But when asked for the fridge it did come in a timely manner and staff was very helpful at all hours of the night. Just on our last day there the fire alarms went off for pretty much 3 hours straight. Didnt inform us they were doing testing. So that might be a good thing to let guest know for the future. Last thing lighting could be better in the room, they were dim and not bright.

Nice Place, But a lot of problems...
We stayed in the Sun Suite and our opinion is that the place was great, don't get me wrong, but for the money, the view was terrible and the lighting was horrible. Now, there were a lot more things that were bad with our experience which were not necessarily the hotel's fault but is worth mentioning. First, was the fact that the AC Unit in our suite decided to die at 10pm, where at one point it got to 91F in our room. (We could hardly breath, it hurt our lungs), thank god we were getting ready to go out and noticed when the floors started sweating, but, Second, a leak in the ceiling formed over our bed which formed into a huge bubble and if we didn't catch it while getting ready, or worse, while sleeping would have exploded all over us. Now the hotel DID transfer us into another suite of the same type but I think they should have done a hell of a lot more considering. All in all, nice place but there are a lot better for a lot cheaper out there.

I loved everything about it. The only thing we wish we would have had was breakfast included with our stay and the refrigerator was off and we weren’t aware of this. Other than that amazing place friendly staff attentive to our every need and beautiful room. But definitely there is music all the time during the weekend at least so he prepared for all the partying.

I’ve stayed at this property over 5x. This time was the most inconvenient and unpleasant time I’ve been. First when I arrived, the manager stated they no longer accept Chime cards due to them losing 20k from people scamming them. I explained check my history, I’ve stayed here every year, multiple times. After my other cards not working, he made an “exception” and allowed me to use my Chime card. BEWARE- if you have resort fees waived being an Expedia member, their “system” is now Hyatt so they’re unable to waive them and they will hold ur card for those funds as well which can accumulate to hundreds of $ becoming unusable during your trip. When I confronted them ab the resort fees still being held on my card I was told “there’s nothing they can do”. I asked If I could get anything for the inconvenience even two gatorades, she said no. After arguing, she then said she refunded me the resort fees. The manager said it could take up to 30 days to get the funds, I got them 24 hours after I checked out so that’s a plus. Naked taco also gave ok service even tho they knew we’ve been there for years. Just felt Like we were not appreciated since we were no longer “new”. I do want praise the luggage guy, he is Amazing and has been there for years. He was the highlight of the hotel. My room was renovated due to Hyatt so it was brighter and re painted. Very nice and clean new shower heads too!! Maybe it was just a bad weekend for them but wasn’t the happiest this time.

Overall it’s a really nice hotel. A little outdated and the room door jams a lot when trying to get in or out. The staff was great and responsive! If you’re looking for a quiet hotel though I’d look elsewhere. Music is blasting late into the midnight hours there. But great location to move around and close to everything!

Had a great time at Dream South Beach. The staff was very cool and warm welcoming. The room was just right and the area is filled with shops, restaurants and the beach is one block away.. good times!!!

Extra charges for underwhelming experiences the hotel looks like no money goes back in for upkeep. Furniture looked worn and unclean. Basically paying for location. Will never book again
