Accommodation In Nagato

There isn't a wide range of hotel options within easy driving distance of downtown Nagato, so be sure to book ASAP if you are thinking of staying in a central Nagato hotel.

The Hotel Nishi-Nagato Resort, Yamaguchi, which is the closest accommodation, is 20 kilometres from downtown Nagato. As an alternative, check out the Otanisanso, located in Yamaguchi, which is 7 kilometres away.

If you are spending time in Nagato, don't miss the Yamaguchi Prefectural Museum of Art. Accommodations nearby are the Hotel Nishi-no-Miyabi Tokiwa and Green Rich Hotel Yamaguchi Yuda Onsen.

The greater Chugoku region is definitely worth seeing too. Visit the ruins in Chugoku, or grab your daypack and enjoy its beaches. Visitors in this fabulous part of Japan enjoy snowboarding and skiing.

First ryokan, did not disappoint!

I'd never stayed in a ryokan before, but have always heard what it was like. I can confidently say, after being in this one, that ryokans are an exceptional place to relax. The traditional rooms are spacious, has a great views, and sleeping in a futon on tatami is a classic for a reason! The amenities are very nice too, with two whole building's worth of stuff! A public bath, karaoke, arcade, bowling, an izakaya, etc. Probably the only thing I would like is wifi in the room (it's only otherwise found in the lobby). But other than that, a wonderful experience I am glad to have had!
