The place is super nice. Excellent location. Cleaning fluid bottles (2) on bed looked like room wasn’t exactly finished? The pool was nice but there was not one single umbrella and it was 100 degrees. In the morning we went to pool and all cabanas were taken and people were leaving in their cars like us. Also our room’s exterior door did not lock. The lock was broken or the door was warped or something but i could not lock the door to outside. This place is very disappointing. I wanted to sit poolside and the place had no option than the 4 cabanas. All lounge chairs were empty in baking sun on the fourth of july. We are driving home before check out time even.

Lovely modern hotel set next to a vineyard. Easy walking distance to one vineyard that do offers if you are staying at SENZA. There is also a restaurant next door to this vineyard that serves great food and wine. Not too far away from Downtown Napa and easy driving distance to many other vineyards (some of which have offers due you staying in SENZA). The hotel has a pool, hot tub and a small gym. The also have a little cafe/restaurant that serves snacks and drinks. There was a small issue with the time of our check in as our room wasn’t ready, but the hotel sorted this.

My husband and I were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary and his birthday. This was our third time staying at Senza as we have always had a nice and relaxing stay in the past. But now, it’s not the same anymore. We wanted to see if we could check in an hour prior and they asked us to wait and will let us know…nobody updated us so we kept waiting for 30 minutes. Still nothing so we left and came back at 3. They apologized and said they forgot to check if our room was ready. Afterwards, they said it would be ready by 3:20pm. We finally got to our room, not really great as our previous stay. No bathrobes or slippers. Someone left an empty wine bottle in the room…they gave us a piece of paper of events, no wine hour at all on a Saturday, which was one of the main reasons we decided to stay here. So instead, we decided to kill time and went to the hot tub but it was filthy with dead bugs. Went to the main pool and it was the same. Not enough towels by the pool, so we tried to ask for more but staff was nowhere to be found. Next day, we were looking forward to breakfast but found out they discontinued their complimentary breakfast. So now they upcharge everything. Not even sure why we pay the $45 resort fee for. Overall, this place is not the same since the remodel.

The hotel is located out of Napa, in a convenient location to visit both the city and the vineyards. The setting, at first sight, is gorgeous and looks like the management made investments to upgrade the stays, with spa and pool. However the check-in experience was poor, with someone taking us through the garden to our room in a very dry mood. Even when we had one with garden view (#44), we could NOT see the garden as we had a solid 6-foot wooden fence that made our room extremely dark and a bit claustrophobic. The cement floor was cold for my taste with limited carpeting (bring slippers). Being the last room in the building, all air conditioned equipments were next to our room, creating a continued buzzing that was noticeable at night. Both days of our stay, we were woken up with loud noises at 7:30am from a delivery truck maneuvering when there was no room for that and a construction in a property behind the hotel. In addition to that, the hotel announced that breakfast was available with pictures of pastries and fruit baskets, that were no longer the case, with very limited options. We advised the check-out staff of these comments so they could take care for the benefit of future guests. We don’t plan to come back.

Our room was gorgeous. We stayed one night and when we checked in the TV was not working. It took someone hours to come and fix it and there was no acknowledgement of that inconvenience. The location was gorgeous but the pool needs to be renovated. It looks old.

Disappointing hotel
Check-in was not a good experience. We had requested early check-in, but our room ended up not being ready until an hour after the standard check-in time. No one proactively updated us, and when we checked on status, we were repeatedly told that the room was “almost ready” for over an hour. The small pool was quite dirty on the first day, and didn’t get cleaned until the following day. There weren’t any pool towels available, and we had to make multiple requests before someone finally went to get them. We were also disappointed to find that the hotel had discontinued their complimentary breakfast recently — we had spoken to the front desk just before we booked, a few weeks earlier, and they told us they offered free breakfast. It would’ve been nice if they had given us a heads up that they were planning to discontinue that amenity shortly. In general, the hotel seemed short staffed and a little unprofessional. The new remodel of the lobby was nice, but doesn’t make up for the little details that make this hotel fall short of many of the other nice hotels available in Napa.
