It has an old-world charm that is increasingly hard to find these days with the growing number of standardized accommodations It is ideal for someone looking for a relaxed stay which fits well with the relaxed pace provided by a town such as Pictou The owner is a wonderful lady who is industrious and tries to provide a comfortable stay for her guests. In all fairness, my room was one of the cheapest in the hotel. I found various small items like the plastic tags from new clothes lying freely on the floor when I entered the room for the first time. They were still there when I left a week later. The room floorboards lifted in spots and pinched bare feet as well. I won't be going back there.
