Well placed hotel close to most facilities. The rooms were quite good, a bit on the small side if you are an international traveller with luggage. The lifts were terrible, slow to react to a request for service. I think drinking water should be supplied free of charge.

Beware: this property has signs in the lobby and elevators begging you not to check out at the front desk but instead to leave your keys in your room and a folio will be emailed to you. This is not true - I contacted Hilton customer service and they said since I booked through Expedia they could not email me my folio/invoice. Have currently been on hold for an hour trying to get ahold of this invoice so I can get reimbursed for this work trip.

We had a pleasant 4 day stay here. While the elevator takes forever, it really wasnt too bad. We loved that it was very quiet. The location was really nice, has subway stations very close. The beds were comfortable. Yes the hotel rooms are small but really..we came to NY to see its beauty so we only come back to the hotel for resting and sleeping and take showers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again next time we visit NY.

Finding the hotel wasn’t easy with Google. Check in was a bit challenging and timely but the gentleman that checked us in handled it well. We actually felt bad for him since a rude customer behind us wouldn’t stop. The elevators sucked!!! It would take over 15 minutes which led us taking the stairs down some way. The rooms were tight and the floors were a bit slippery in bath room. As for parking that’s another issue that lead us on a wild goose chase. We went to the parking lot mentioned and it was closed which had us trying to find something. We tried to call for assistance but either we got hung up on or ever lasting hold

I hate this place. Firstly, the room information said the rooms were 300sq feet. My room was 150 on a good day. Three elevators serviced 44 floors and frequently broke down or were too crowded to ride. If you want the subway experience in hotel form, there you go. The hallways were cramped, and it felt like I was on a boat. The room itself smelled like cheap floor cleaner and had cold, gritty laminate floors; could we just do carpet like a normal hotel? The window was stained with dirt. I had to leave a day early because of food poisoning, and after canceling the final night, I called back to learn that the final night had not actually been canceled anywhere and I had to pay fully for the final night.

Hunger Games Of Elevators & They will disturb.
Where to begin, we are travelers and normally love the Hilton brand. Some of my favorite stays have been at Doubletrees. This one would not be included. Checking in on Friday the 26th late. The front desk agent was pleasant and courteous. He was very helpful and professional with another guest who even interrupted him checking us in. Kudos to him i forgot his name. Elevator situation=awful 3 small elevators none dedicated to taking people from ground level to lobby during peak times, people shoving into them, one of the 3 inoperable at one point. Lines out the outside waiting for a chance to get on. It was like the Hunger games. Room=Just ok, furniture a little beat up, bed made sloppy a little dusty but overall ok Amenities=fitness center ok. Free cookies(A Doubletree standard) non existent for us,even heard other guests complain. Location/view= Great spot in FiDi!! Public areas=Clean modern. Big lack of trash cans in hallway people leaving piles of trash. Staff= Meh. Outside of two maintenance men the last day, a younger baggage clerk,and the front desk agent night one. No one really spoke to us or anything. Most were not friendly. My biggest issue was housekeeping. We kept our DND on the entire stay. We even got notices letting us know if we needed anything to let them know. But still somehow Sunday they went into our room without our consent cleaned tossed stuff out etc. The DND was on the door! Huge privacy violation!!!
