The cons outweigh the pro. Book as last resort.
First the con. They ran out of toothpaste for the whole hotel. Some of the linen were not washed. The breakfast lady has an attitude and no social skills. No microwave in room. Breakfast area is cramped. No bag in trash bin. We booked for 3 people but only received items for 2 people. The pros. The room was larger than expected. Bed was firm. Close to downtown Brooklyn .

The hotel was fine but the heating was so noisy we had to turn it off then it was freezing. We had one amazing receptionist rest were disinterested and lazy. Breakfast was good and lots of it.

My room was supposed to have a fridge and it did not. When I inquired about it, I was told they were out and I could move rooms the next day if I needed one. Also, no robe in the room and the air conditioner/heater was not great.

I liked that the venue was within walking distance to the event I was attending; as well as, options for dining. LOCATION: Beware - I was not cognizant and did not like the location being across the street from a criminal detention center. There is also a lot of homelessness in the area and as a result, I did not feel safe. AESTHETIC: This hotel is in need of renovations, painting and new furniture badly! The common areas and interior of the rooms lack a creative, stylish, comfortable, and functional environment for guests. I was constantly looking around... CUSTOMER SERVICE: I communicated with this hotel that my flight would arrive early on the day of and was not allowed to check in ahead of time. After many hours of waiting, I finally asked if there was a fee for early check in. Low and behold a room became available and I was charged $50 to check in one hour early, after waiting for 5/6 hours. Woke up the next morning and there was an additional charge I did not authorize for fees associated with the check in. This definitely was NOT the VIP experience I am used to with Marriott and IHG. No robe in the room, had to request one be provided. CLEANLINESS: Just filthy. I was not comfortable as the tables were not cleaned after patrons finished eating. There was always a consistent bag of trash. I will never stay here again and certainly would not recommend to anyone for the amount of money I was charged for a one night stay. The photos on the website are misleading.

I was in a handicap room and the way the shower was sitauted, it sprayed out of the shower and filled the bathroom with water on the floor and it rolled into the room. An engineer had to come to disconnect the wall mounted shower head. The shower was only supposed to function with the handheld sprayer, but that was not happening when I was there. It was ridiculous. And the bed was so cheap and uncomfortable. It was some crappy metal frame you can buy on Amazon and the mattress was lumpy and awful. I only stayed at this hotel because there was nothing else available in the area.

Disappointing Visit
Our stay at this hotel was disappointing, to say the least. On the first night, we discovered that our heat was broken and the toilet wouldn’t flush. With no immediate assistance available, we had to manually pull the broken chain in the tank every time we used it. The front desk offered no urgency or concern. After speaking with three different people about a room change, we were told to return from our day by 6 PM or they wouldn't move us. When we got back, we were told the original issues had been resolved, but we opted to move to a new room anyway. Thankfully, the new room was in working order and offered slightly better amenities. Housekeeping is supposedly scheduled every other day and we had to ask to make sure it would get done. Overall, the lack of care and the steep holiday pricing made this experience feel like a rip-off. This was far below the standard I’d expect for the price we paid, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Love the location and staff are great. Everything is a little run down looking now for the price. No water in room except for $6 per bottle purchase. Even first night, no creamer added daily after first use. Absolutely nothing VIP which I was booked. They did kindly accommodate a quieter room not overlooking the air conditioner for a one week stay. Breakfast could do better, but overall very expensive for what you get my stay was over 3k for a six night stay. Really needs some TLC.
