Big City Comfort
We stayed at the Michalangelo for a long weekend. The hotel is perfectly situated near the Broadway theaters, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, and shopping on Madison Ave and 5th Ave. The staff were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was very clean and our room was made up daily by the cleaning staff.

The Michelangelo is a classic NYC hotel located just north of Time Square. Easy access to theaters, public transit, and to all the fun that is to be had in midtown Manhattan. The staff was responsive and friendly. The room - though a bit dated - was comfortable and quiet where you can step out of the action and get rest. I will be back!

This is a lovely older hotel with HUGE rooms and impeccable service. Did not have much of a view, but we enjoyed the spacious room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. One block off of Times Square. Staff is extremely accommodating. This is our new "go to" NYC hotel.

Upon check in with another couple, we were both offered an upgrade to a suite for an extra $100 per night. We both declined and checked our luggage, since our rooms weren’t ready and went to lunch. Upon returning to the hotel to check in, our friends were upgraded to a very large suite and we were offered nothing. Our friends had no idea why they were upgraded, especially since I was the one who found and suggested the hotel. It was very awkward for both couples. Why offer one out of two couples, standing side by side at the desk and traveling together an upgrade? No one asked for an upgrade.
