Great value and ideal for Silverstone
Amazing little find actually . . Good value and surprisingly modern and comfortable for a hotel located in the middle of a university campus. Room rather warm but a fan is provided. Would definitely use again as ideal for Silverstone.

Northampton June 2024 trip
Sunley Hotel was a very pleasant hotel for a short stay in Northampton. It is very clean and modern and has a nice seating area downstairs in the reception area. The staff weren't particularly friendly on welcoming and throughout the stay, they did the bare minimum when asked for help during our stay. The night receptionist was the most friendly chap working at the hotel. The rooms were pleasant but very hot. They did provide fans so I presume this is well known and well documented in other reviews. The bathroom has an automatic light and fan which was motion activated and took about 20 mins to turn off once you left the room which we found a bit odd. The room itself was nice and spacious. It was very modern and clean and had everything you would expect from a hotel room. My main criticism, however, would be that there was a sign informing guests that if they wanted their towels changed they would need to leave them on the floor. I thought this unnecessary so I hung my towel up in the bathroom only to find it was still changed each day. Overall it was a nice hotel with just a few negatives which they could easily turn around to make it a very pleasant hotel.

No air conditioning, room was unbearable. Wife had to sleep in car, fan was no use just blowing warm air around. Window couldn’t be open more than an inch for security reasons. Room 16 third floor horrendous. Guy on reception said they get many complaints about this. It wasn’t a hot night there is obviously a problem

Campus hotel
The hotel is very clean and has everything you need for a weekend stay. It's very close to Delapre park where the festival was. The only unfortunate thing was the restaurant wasn't open for evening meals but there is a lovely bar restaurant about 2 minutes away. The hotel is bang in the middle of the university campus so feels very secure. The car park is secure, you have to buzz in. As in some reviews the hotel is very warm but it is manageable.

I love this hotel. Staff and rooms are always great but the rooms are stiflingly hot. Such a waste of energy as well as very uncomfortable to work and sleep in. This has been an ongoing issue in my stays in better weather and I wonder why it has not been addressed.
