Temperature outside was hot duringour stay. Our room faced the sun. No AC only a fan that didn't cool the room much. It was ok for a short two night stay. Will not choose this property again. Another guest we met on the elevator, who had a hot room, asked to be moved. He asked us while in the elevator if we ever stayed at this property.. we answered no ..he asked if we would ever stay again...we both said no.

Property was not anything like the photos. The room was a mess, stains on the furniture and on the carpet. Carpet was partially ripped off the wall baseboards. Two of the lamps fully didn't have outlets to plug into, so the room was either dim or you had to open the curtains all the way and expose yourself. Bathroom was tiny, inconvenient, and the shower constantly fluctuated in temperature if anyone on the floor was using water. You could literally have it turned all the way to cold and boiling water would start spewing out. Do not recommend. Stay nearly anywhere else.

The property is run down and dirty. The bathroom is very old snd badly needs repair. The AC doesn't cool the room. The reception staff are non interested in the customers and seem not interested in the job. Very cold and unhelpful

I’m so sorry but I wasn’t comfortable the minute I walked in the hotel. It had a strong smell of cigarette the entire place. Checking in was easy. But I was asked for $50 extra deposit despite paying the full payment for the night online. This has never happened. Receptionist specially told me that deposit is for any damage cause to the room (if there’s any)which made me feel like I’m in not a safe area. Smell in room was horrible and restroom wasn’t super clean.

Don't stay here.
Most disgusting room I've ever been in. There was a random half drank Mt. Dew on the bathroom counter when I got into my room. Accompanied by fingernails and maggots. The stickies, most disgusting remote I've ever seen. The cover on the rooms phone was tore off exposing the inside of the phone. I asked for a new room, and he moved me to a different floor. When the elevators opened you're blasted with the smell of cat urine in your face you won't soon forget.

The property was filthy and Unsafe ! Upon arrival, the property smelled like a combo of urine and dirt. The lobby chair's fabric was dirty as well as the floors! When we arrived at our room the sliding door would not close due to the portable A/C unit, the exhaust pipe was fixed/rigged to stick out the sliding door, therefore the door would not close/lock, and the open space between doors was "closed off" with cardboard and tape !! Needless to say, we left and requested a refund which I was informed would have to be given by the third party booking site " Expedia" .

There was no turn down service of any kind not unless you ask for it, and even then they brought sheets and pillows and left them in the room. No toiletries, no towels, no shower gels. Overall it was a terrible stay.

We scheduled for 2 nights. The place was outdated. The toliets didn’t flush, lights randomly came on and off, broken outlets, tub was peeling, just overall dirty feeling. A homeless person was wandering in the building at 10:30 pm on the 6th floor and when we told staff they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. We ended up checking out early.

I wish I could rate it less than one star. We checked in and went to our room and promptly left after looking at rhe horrifying room and dirty bathroom. The toilet didnt flush, the tub has paint chipping off of it. The chair in the room was heavily stained and had ciggarette burns. It was the worst hotel room and we expected more from a Red Lion. The photos on Expedia are SUPER outdated and do not reflect the current state of the hotel. We left and drove for 10 mins to a less dirty hotel. This hotel should be condemmed.

Musty smell permeates room and public spaces. Icemakers out of service. Fireworks in the alley outside going off at all hours of the night - I feared for the safety of our car parked in the hotel parking lot, and went down to check on it. Shady characters/homeless loitering in the neighborhood.

Was hoping for a little nicer of a place being a Red Lion location. The AC barely worked in my room which made the room sweltering in the summer heat. One big positive was that the room had a large sliding door with small balcony which I was able to open to allow cool air in. Very nice view of the capitol and lake. However, the room needed a little more attention to detail in it's cleaning since there was blood smeared on the wall of the bathroom, the hotel kind of has a cigarette smell to it, and something on a washcloth cut me while washing! The towels they give you are tiny, there is basically no water pressure, but at least the bed was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly but seemed a little understaffed and stressed, and unfortunately all they had for breakfast was bagels and cereal, and I can't eat wheat products so I couldn't really utilize the free breakfast.

If you can't afford better, I guess it will do.
This property could almost be nice but it hasn't been kept up at all. The paint is peeling, all the vending machines are broken, multiple empty rooms have drilled out knobs and padlocked from the outside. Our portable air conditioning broke in our first room so we were moved to a room with central AC. That also didn't work so it was very hot at night. Also, on Saturday night a freight train came screaming through right next to the hotel twice at 2:30 and 4:30 am so sleep was impossible. That said, the staff was all very friendly and the linens were very clean.

All rooms were on central air, which was a huge problem, but my room was set at 85 degrees during a 80 degree day, with the sun blazing straight into my room. It took 2 days before it was bearable for me to spend time in my room. Made it really hard to sleep. There was chips and cracks in the walls of my room, and the bed side table handle was hanging. Really wish they had windows that opened. The front desk help was amazing, but all in all, I wouldn’t suggest staying here
