Enjoyed our stay here. Loved the decor theme, although a bit shabby around the edges and in need of some TLC. Our room had views of Notre Dame. Staff all lovely and friendly. Good breakfast, but brought to the table each day with no menu/choices mentioned.

The hotel was classic parasian. I loved the vibe and decor. Location in a great area, very walkable. The view of the Seine river from our hotel room was amazing.

Be careful - we paid in full on Expedia and when checking out the old tall man with glasses insisted that we hadn’t paid and was trying to shake us down…. He had a printed sheet with our reservation and flipped it over so I couldn’t see it. I had to pull it away from him and point out that it’s been paid in advance. I would not stay here again.

Charming Hotel, beautiful decor, comfortable bed by Seine River in the Latin Quarter with view of Notre Dame Cathedral. Many restaurants, shopping, however no parking, public parking was a distance. Small elevator, made several trips up the elevator to bring in luggage. Had to carry luggage up 1st floor to reach 2nd floor elevator. Staff did not offer to help carry.

Our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing due to several significant issues. First, the room was extremely dusty, which unfortunately led to both me and my partner developing rashes on our legs. The noise level was another major problem. The hotel is situated on a busy, touristy street with bars nearby, and because the windows are not soundproof, we were constantly disturbed by the loud noises of people drinking late into the night. Adding to the disturbance, our visit coincided with the Olympics, resulting in frequent police sirens and ongoing road construction that continued well past midnight. The lack of soundproofing made it almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep, as we were repeatedly woken up by the noise outside. The bathroom design also left much to be desired. There was no door or curtain in the shower, which meant that every time we used it, water splashed everywhere, essentially flooding the bathroom. The hotel itself is an old building, and it shows. The floors were creaky and uneven, and the rooms were poorly insulated, allowing us to hear every footstep in the hallway and noise from downstairs. To make matters worse, the toilet had no ventilation or window, causing unpleasant odors to linger for a long time. While the hotel’s location may be convenient for those wanting to be in the heart of the action, the numerous drawbacks—poor soundproofing, dust, and outdated facilities—made our stay uncomfortable and unsatisfactory.

Excellent location and a room with a view
From start to finish, this hotel was just perfect for my 4 day solo trip to Paris. Easy direct train access from CDG airport. Direct RER and metro with the station just minutes away. The area has cafes and restaurants everywhere. Hotel staff were very helpful. The room was just perfect with everything I had hoped for including an amazing view of the Seine and Notre Dame. Will definitely stay here if I ever returned to Paris.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Notre Dame mostly because of the location and our view of the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral from our room and hotel Salon. The decor was quaint and represented Paris decor. The staff were great and responded immediately to aid us. Our room was not large but adequate for just my husband and me. My main complaint is that a horrible gas smell or bad odor occurred in our room after a day or two. It seemed to get worse daily. When I notified the front desk, they immediately tried to remove the odor but also offered to move us. We did move on our last night. The new room had no odor. My hope is that this was not usual at this hotel. It was a great find for a good price on the Seine and across from the Notre Dame. It was in the Latin Quarter and easily walkable to loads of restaurants and sights.
