We initially were given a top floor room, which was hard for my mother in law to go up the stairs. The woman at the desk was very friendly and accommodating- offering us a ground floor room. The room was very clean, and the back yard has a nice pool with picnic areas with bbqs. No issues.

Checkin was a breeze - very nice clerk. Room was clean, but mediocre - my feet got dirty walking barefoot in the room. All ok until I saw the note on the fridge ‘if you don’t wash dishes you use (2 coffee cups) you’ll be charged $30’!! Note also says to keep linens clean or you’ll be charged damage! Total turn off to an otherwise decent stay.

What a lovely place! Estelle, the clerk (owner maybe), was super friendly and checked to see if our room was OK. We couldn't get the TV to work and neither could Estelle, but we had a good sleep without it! They have snowbird rates as well, which may be something to look into this Winter.

Very friendly, accommodating staff. This was the first time we stayed here…what at gem! Simple decor, comfortable bed, very clean! Everything we look for in a place to stay. Parking is convenient. Even though it’s on a busy street, surprisingly quiet. About 25 minute walk to a major grocery store. Close to beach. Nice courtyard area (that we didn’t use) with outdoor swimming pool and BBQ’s. Our new favourite place to stay in Penticton. Two thumbs up.

What we liked: incredibly friendly and personable staff, clean rooms as advertised, good kitchen facilities. What we didn't like: extra guest fees for the 4th guest in a family suite that is advertised to sleep 6 is just ridiculous. The 'master' bedroom that faces the front is subject to INTENSE light pollution from the direct overhead fairy lights- the curtains are not good enough to block this out.

Empire Motel An older motel, clean, gracious & friendly receptionist, appealing patio & pool which we did not use due to approaching rain, comfortable bed, reasonable cost – we would use the motel again.

We stayed for my son and his friends bike race. The woman who greeted us was so excited to hear about the boys race. And wanted us to check in after the race to let her know how they did. It was very sweet, she came out and asked the boys how they did when we arrived back at the motel. The rooms were updated and extremely clean. The fridge and freezer were a great size for all of our packed food and while our weather wasn't great the pool and court yard, (with bbqs) looked beautiful and well cared for. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay, few minutes walk and you are at a beautiful beach. Good restaurants close by, owners are very attentive and knowledgeable. Rooms are clean and renovated. Pool is large and heated. Great place, the love invested into it, you can feel.
