I think they have to get a maintenance staff to go around and check room by room. There is a half inch gap around our door even when the door was locked general maintenance and upkeep needs done.

For the price of the room, I was surprised our room was not cleaned during our stay. The Main area did not smell super clean when we checked in. I sprayed perfume to freshen up the smell. I think the hotel is overpriced.

Had a nice one night stay while in town for a concert at Petersen Event Center. Hotel and room were very clean. Staff was friendly. Easy parking as well as Uber pick up and drop off. Would stay again.

The entire hotel staff was phenomenal, kind, and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, clean, in a great location, has free parking, and in a fantastic location in Oakland, by a convenient bus route. It was a perfect stay.

The property is clean, updated, and conveniently located for anyone needing the hospitals or university access. The room is nicely set out with all necessary amenities, and it is clean and the bathroom is quite nice. The breakfast included is an adequate continental breakfast option, which helps make up for the fact that you must pay for parking. The staff truly is the best part of this property! The front desk staff and those cleaning and stocking the breakfast area were extremely nice, pleasant, and welcoming. Only one of the issues we found questionable about the property relates to the room itself, which is the uncomfortable beds. Everyone is different though, so others may find the beds adequate. Also, not something the property can control, but the neighborhood is not ideal for basics since the hospital takes up so much of the area.
