Right near Cape Ann area, we went to the Shalin Lou music hall which is amazing. The breakfast selection could be better feel like I’m in middle school again. But it’s free so no complain.

We felt the property was way overvalued for the condition and location. The following night we were at a Staybridge Inn in Wilmington DE and paid half the rate of Rockport for much, much better facility and conditions.

Photos of “Views from property” are all lies. The outside in all directions are the road and buildings. I booked this place an hour away from my destination because of those photos - thinking we could walk outside to the water. NOPE. The front desk guys also said we were overcharged and it should have been $136 but we paid $325 a night. When we talked to the hotel they blamed Expedia and Expedia blamed the hotel. No one would let us out of the booking or refund us. For the time wasted driving or the glad advertisement.

On day 2 of our stay, after returning from daytrips, we turned on the water and it was dark brown. No amount of flushing helped. So, no shower, no brushing teeth. We had to go out to buy a gallon of water. Next morning, when we reported this to the front desk, we felt that we were brushed off. We were told something about the water heater needing replacement, and it's too bad and no sorry for the inconvenience.

I ended up not staying at this place at the reservation in question. I have stayed here in the past and have to say, most of the Front Desk Agents are very good and helpful. However, this is one woman in particular who is horrible. She is the epitome of what not to be in customer service. I am not sure why The Rockport Inn has not fired this woman yet as I know she has been there for a while. She talks over you and interrupts when you speak. If you look up the definition of service in the dictionary, you will not find her picture anywhere. This establishment as a whole is very good and I will stay here again in the future, I just hope and pray that I have no further dealings with this woman. You know who you are. Try smiling and being a little more helpful... : )

We were told there were rollaway beds available- there were not -which meant one member of our party slept on the floor with blankets- also- the pool was not recently vacuumed and a little cool to be inviting - looks way better in the pictures than the actual motel ish real feel.
