Absolutely can’t say enough about this hotel. Staff went above and beyond for us! Great location, right next to Parliment with many great restaurants, shops, and walkable to all the sights of Rome. Room was beyond our expectations. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choices.

We loved our 1-night stay. When we checked in we learned that we had gotten a complimentary upgrade to an executive suite which was clean and spacious with a view overlooking the parliamentary plaza. The front desk staff and door staff were great. Once our bags were dropped in our room after check in, we were off to explore Rome. Upon returning we realized that the air conditioning controls weren’t working in our room and called the front desk, immediately they sent someone to look at it. When he was unable to fix it they arranged for the maintenance person to come look. Unfortunately it was not an issue that could be resolved at the time however the staff were all very apologetic and accommodating. We were given the option to move to a smaller room which we were permitted to view first, when we declined they promptly brought two large pedestal fans to our room to help circulate the air. We felt that our comfort was made a priority and concerns were addressed quickly. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean. We took advantage of the breakfast buffet which had an abundance of options even so far as multiple varieties of milk for cereal. On checkout we were asked if we would like to store luggage or if we would like a taxi or anything arranged. If you are looking for a modern hotel, this is not the space for you but if you are looking for an affordable 5 star experience within walking distance of Rome’s attractions, I highly recommend Hotel Nazionale!

My stay there was a short one but did enjoy my time there. Love that the hotel was minutes away from all entertainment and shopping. The hotel property was well maintained. The only one gripe is that room 308, had a very small shower area with a glass shower panel that was small and very uncomfortable. Water would pool on the floor because there was no space to move.

Hotel is in a good location. The staff were both friendly and very helpful. My room was different than what I booked, but they told me that prior to the change (this was done so that I could check in much earlier - which I very much appreciated). My only complaint was it was noisy in the room. Doors closing, people talking, a dog barking somewhere outside. Made it a little hard to sleep. My only other issue is with the lack of exiting directional signs. The building (at least where I stayed) was a bit of a maze and would be difficult to find the exit in the event of an emergency.

Walkable and Convenient
Nice hotel, very walkable to restaurants and all of the major sights in Rome. The Pantheon and Trevi Fountain are extremely close with the Colleseum and Roman Forum a little further out, but still walkable. Lots of options with the included breakfast. Giolitti for the best gelato in Rome is a must and steps away from the hotel.

Very nice hotel and property. Most of the staff were fantastic, especially Roberta. Another female staff member was not as friendly. I gave facilities a 4 because the AC didn't quite cool like I'd expect (certainly not like in N. America)
