Issues in remodeled room, description not correct
When we arrived we were informed Expedia overbooked so we were downgraded from our previous room (king bed suite) to a double queen standard room. That’s fine, not their fault and not a problem. However, I was slightly bothered by the fact that they supposedly reached out multiple times via email and phone, yet I did not receive any attempted contact and neither did my husband. The room was very clean, beds comfy, nice tub/shower with warm water and decent pressure, large counter space in bathroom. Everything else in the room had some kind of problem. The toilet was loose, the tv didn’t work, AC worked but the cover came off when we barely touched it. The mini fridge did not work and was leaking water that had melted inside. Despite being in the amenities provided in the description when booking, there was no microwave. No safe to store valuable belongings. The pool is small, less than 5 ft at the deep end, and no hot tub. Breakfast was delicious! I would like to note that upon noticing the fridge didn’t work and again at checkout describing the other concerns we had with the room, the receptionists were polite, attentive, and appeared to take our feedback seriously. This may only be an issue in the newly remodeled rooms, but I felt the need to share my experience as I felt quite blindsided by the issues after reading the overwhelming amount of positive feedback from others.

I booked a room for the night because we there for a church revival. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming. My room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was very clean as well. There hotel was under construction but they ladies at the front desk were so nice and accommodating they put us on a floor that wouldn’t be so noisy but otherwise we had a great experience here especially being in Saginaw for the first time. Also you have many options to pick from for restaurants as well.

Stay was fine, hotel a bit dated
The stay was fine, we didn’t have any issues or concerns. The property felt older, like it could use a bit of TLC. For instance there was missing grout and a lifting tile in our bathroom, the shower curtain rod was starting to rotate forward, the caulking around the tub was stained, the curtains in the room were fraying, the pool area had some rusty door trim and water damage. There were remodeling in progress signs, so I assume they are getting a refresh.

Slow and loud.
There was no one at the front desk for check in. Waited at least 10 minutes. Could hear every person talking clearly as they walked down hallway. The person who was staying in the room above us sounded like an elephant walking overhead. Wallpaper peeling in bathroom. Otherwise the room looked nice and bed was comfortable. Near expressway with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

Currently being renovated avoid for 6 months
July 2024 - this Fairfield Inn was being renovated. It will probably be very nice when it is finished, however I would avoid it until 2025. The place is currently a mess. It would be better if they would close it completely for 6 months until most of the renovations are done. The staff was very helpful and the location is good.

The room was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. love the shower. pool was small but if you have younger children it will suit them well. Even though they were in the middle of a remodel, the area open was very clean. of course there was a lot of equipment outside but that is to be expected with any remodel work.. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone
