Good: the valet guys were terrific! Gave us food and travel recommendations, all nice guys. Area around the hotel was clean and easy to navigate. Bad: 1. There was a large group at the hotel at the same time, they were loud, obnoxious, and really took over dining areas, elevators, and the patio. I was sitting on the patio area reading one evening and a lady from the group came out and said to me- we took over this area last night, expect the same tonight so you might want to leave. Just rude. The hotel has to know, they were all ridiculous and loud at checkin. 2. I didn’t realize the enormous amount of taxes here- 8 taxes listed on my receipt. Would be nice to know ahead of time. 3. Our Riverwalk view that we paid extra for- we were the end room, overlooking mostly the street, and the windows have slats on them so you’re seeing the “view” 2 inches at a time between the slats. 😩

We loved that it was on the RiverWalk and within walking distance of most things we wanted to see. The staff was excellent and there really isn’t anything we could point out that we didn’t like. All in all it was a pleasant experience!

Second time i’ve ever stayed here! The hotel fragrance is was attracted me back and it was for my birthday, Upon checking in we were greeted by everyone and at the desk asked if there was a special reason for our stay. I was sent a slice of birthday cake and it was TO DIE FOR!!!! I enjoyed my stay!!

Great hotel
The hotel is second to none. My wife loves fancier places, so she was impressed. She was blown away by the hotel itself and things just got better as she loved everything about our room. The decor and the bed was great. The bathroom was spotless. The only thing that was disappointing was the hotel restaurant, Dorrego's. Food was amazing but since my steak was overcooked, I had to send it back. My wife's steak was perfect. My new ribeye was cooked perfectly. Delicious. When I pay a great deal of money for a steak and an error occurs, i do expect better customer service...like a manager visiting me. None of that happened and that was upsetting. Even at regular restaurants like Lupe Tortilla, a manager checks in with you. They need to do better.

An Affordable Luxury
This property is simply beautiful. The lobby and public areas in the hotel looked recently updated with a traditional design. Our room kept up those high standards. We were delighted at the spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort. Service was similarly top notch. All staff treated us with kindness and were excellent in their respective roles. Lastly, the location was perfect for exploring the Riverwalk and walking to the Historic Market. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The property is lovely and the staff was helpful, but the noise level was awful. It felt like the outside was inside in our 10th room floor. The hotel is located with easy access to the Riverwalk and there are other restaurants nearby.
