we were booked into a room that hadn’t been serviced yet, still had the scrambled eggs breakfast on the desk. when we went down to get another room without apology or regret, the second room had a huge crack in the bathroom mirror. when i asked the front desk to note it in my records, he just ignored me and when i asked him why, he just mumbled i’m really busy after he said he had. third try was a charm, but breakfast the next morning was not sufficient to feed the people. no eggs.

Martha and front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was busy and a lot for the one staff member working it (they need to replace the really slow pancake maker with something quicker). Corridor carpets were extremely dirty, guest room was ok.

If you get room 210, ask to switch to another room immediately. The view of your room is the red tile roof of the hotel and it's right across from the elevators. Not the ideal room for sure.

Great spot for a stop right off the 101 hwy. Don’t let the location fool you, it’s nice and quiet. Great breakfast included in your stay. Room clean and safe. Make sure to get a balcony. We stayed in room 207.

This hotel is pretty average in terms of rooms and amenities. What I liked about was the courteous and helpful staff, the walkability (downtown SLO and the university are walkable), and how quiet it was (even when our neighbors were partying, we couldn't hear them in our room). They also offer a discount for booking with them directly for university-related stays. Would stay here again for move-in and parent's weekend!

Not the best breakfast for sure!
Enjoyed the stay until breakfast. Room was well equipped, comfortable and mostly quiet. (2) Issues... Ice machines are only located on 2nd and 3rd floors, I stayed on the 4th. If you are looking for an establishment for breakfast, go somewhere else. Breakfast was a disaster. I tried 2x but did not end up with anything. No plates, minimal utensils, no hot food available and the juice machine only dispensed water, no orange juice, apple juice, or cranberry. Dining area is too small to accommodate guests, oN where else to seat to eat.

Was not greeted upon entering. Card and DL thats it! Amenities listed A fridge. Was told they took them out. Cable tv is done by inputting 3 digits to change chanel. They blocked all inputs to use a firestick or gaming. Bathroom toilet i had to ask for a plunger to unclog it ....AC kept shutting off the reply at the front desk that there was a power outage and afffected all units.Really!!!.

The property was close to cal poly which was nice. However I had some issues. The room we were put in was right next to the breakfast area and also right behind the lobby. To say loud would be an understatement. We didn’t get any sleep the entire trip. They were setting up for breakfast at 5 am and were loudly banging things around and using profanity loudly while doing so. We unfortunately got to bed late so this was a problem. I told the girl at the front desk about all the noise and the poor room location and basically got a shoulder shrug. Not even an attempt at an apology. When I pay almost $600 for 2 nights I expected better. It’s not like the terrible room cost any less than what others had. Night 2 was even worse. There was an employee literally dragging a heavy metal sign around right outside our room at 1 am. Not sure why this took so long and why it had to be done at 1am. I opened my door to see what is going on and find some guys sitting on the ground right outside our room and the employee who was dragging the metal sign around chatting. Why there?! There was zero care for people trying to sleep. When I was checking out I would’ve loved to have a conversation so things could be improved for someone else in the future and I wasn’t even given an opportunity to talk to anyone because they were too busy and said set your keys there and you’re set. Then continued their conversation with the other employee and never even made eye contact. Bad experience.
