Overall, this property is a good value with friendly service, and is in a very convenient location. Rooms are pleasant and have been partially renovated. Windows, however, are badly in need of replacement: broken screens & fixtures—plus they are so flimsy that they block neither cold nor the incessant noise from the adjacent freeway. Very loud.

Spend a few extra bucks & go elsewhere. This place is not safe. The smell in my room was so strong I had the worst headache I have ever had. My clothing was stolen out of the dryer. No hot water to shower.. Don’t waste your $$.

You should consider removing this hotel from your list -- not up to standards of hotels.com we have come to expect. The breakfast advertised was scant (no yogurt, no cereal, no eggs -- only waffle-making, pkg'd pastry and toast). There was no coffee maker in the room. The hotel's exterior was shabby, given the neighborhood in San Marcos.
