I liked my room but I was a little disappointed of the location of the balcony. It wasn't what was described. I also felt like the comforter was dirty or hadn't been washed correctly, it just looked dingy.

Uncomfortable, dirty, and unhappy staff.

One night stay.. looked forward to comfortable rest from driving, but this ended up being a disappointment. Hotel is outdated, furniture in rooms and public spaces have major wear and tear, and the carpets are stained throughout the hallways. I even saw stains on the walls by the elevators and in halls where liquids once ran down them without being cleaned. How does the staff not notice this? Front desk staff was so incredibly unenthused.. i think we only spoke like 5 words between us at check in. The credit card machines were down at the front desk and the internet across the whole property was out.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a room for 2 and stayed on 1/1/2025. This room checked the box for everything that you would not expect from a Hilton chain of hotels, more from a 1 star motel. Blood on the sheets, hair in the tub, trash in the waste basket and the room temperature did not move from 72/73 degrees and humid. We checked in late and we discovered these things within 2 hours after check in. I followed Expedia procedures and contacted them through chat and was told that they were in contact with the front desk. My young son was fast asleep from a 300 mile drive at 11pm. So changing rooms was not an option. The front desk told Expedia that they could not afford to refund the nights stay. Expedia customer service was no better and said that this did not qualify for a refund, even though I sent pictures of everything. At 11:45pm a housekeeper knocked on the door all the lights were out in the room and then used her master key and unlocked the door, the only thing that stopped her from entering was the inside safety lock I had locked. We found a bag of bedding in a bag then next morning. This still did not qualify for a refund from the hotel or Expedia. 2 days later the Expedia customer service team reached out and asked if I would contact the hotel manager, send the pictures and explain what had happened. I did just that and copied Expedia, with no response from either Hilton Buffalo Thunder hotel management or Expedia. I would recommend not booking through Expedia.

The property itself is beautiful! The other two bright spots about this resort are the pool and the gym. Hands down the best hotel gym I have been to in a long time. The downsides of this property is it feels pretty run down in places. In the main hallway a door wouldn't shut so it was always very cold walking to the lobby. Our room was pretty rough. We got stuck with a "second" floor room that had a beautiful view of an HVAC unit, my kids couldn't see anything past that. In our room itself, the shower spigot was broken, there was a missing floorboard where you could see unfinished drywall, and the furniture was peeling. With all that being said, we would probably stay here again, it is a nice property close enough to some of the ski resorts.

Disappointed - WIFI Issues

Was so looking forward to our stay. Was very disappointed with the resort. WiFi was not working (traveling with 13 yr old & 8 yr old). Hotel has shampoo, conditioner shower gel and lotion pumps conveniently placed in the restroom. However, both conditioner and lotion were empty. Walkway to room elevators had a strange odor and serious carpet stains. Visited Casino for a bit, very empty and a little creepy vibe. Most slots are dated. Won a bit and then lost it back. Positive: Beds were comfortable. Room and bathroom is spacious. There were a lot of channels to watch. Be careful which room option you choose when booking your room. I thought we had breakfast included with our stay. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong room

Hotel itself was very nice. Clean rooms, nice pool, beautiful lobby, and cute looking restaurants. Staff, service, and food do not meet the level of quality of the facilities. Staff were rude. Couldn’t get anyone to deliver room service. Food was not good at all. If Hilton wants to make this resort a true destination, it needs to improve its service and food asap.
