We thought it was a bit odd that our hotel was down the street from where check-in was (less than 2 mins down the street) our room was reserved off Expedia. I was told theses were “roomier rooms” The room was super cute and spacious for our needs. Nice large mat in front of the door. Large mini fridge with a freezer, had a microwave too.This made it so much easier to make meals for our one night stay. Bed was comfy. Plow came before we had to leave. My adult daughter, and I were travelling together and I was uncomfortable that the bathroom window had no lock on it. That is our only complaint. But I don’t take this lightly as this is safely concern. Definitely older style window’s possibly original windows, cool looking but not safe.

Very clean and neat. Bathroom is old yet very clean. The TV in the unit could have had smart tv functions accessible. The TV is new and seems like it might have it, but maybe disabled. Most of the channels on the TV don’t work so unless you want to watch Sports news there’s nothing available to watch. Bed was comfy. It’s not absolutely quite outside, but the motel was practically empty when we stayed so there wasn’t any disturbances. Love that they are pet friendly and give treats, blankets and towel for furry family.

Friendly staff. Good for price. Clean and bed was comfortable. When we arrived the room was freezing. They should have put the heat on in the room to make it comfortable for our arrival. Needed extra towels and had to get in car to go to store to pick up. We were in section just up the street and across from main property. No cleaning was done to our room during our stay. For the price it was good. All the reviews that I read raised my expectations; however, for a remote locate it was good. The room and bathroom was very outdated although the floor and beds were new. The electrical was sketchy. Not too many plugs and lots of chords plugged in. Looked like a dangers situation. Also washroom had no plug for hairdryer.

Good for a night or two!
We stayed at the Voy for one night on a big camping/motel trip around northern ontario. The room was comfortable and pretty clean. We had our dog with us and the little doggie basket was a nice touch. The bathroom needed renovation - the tap ran continuously at a trickle, and if you weren't careful about not opening it up full tilt, the water would gush over the sink like a tidal wave and soak you. The toilet was loose.. a rocking toilet, if you will. The tub had tiny ants in it. That said, this is a more than fine place to lay your head for a night or 2. The staff were nice and Shreiber was a cute little town to walk our dog around. It would be a great candidate for a show like "Home Town"

This is my usual stopover for my regular trips between Muskoka and Winnipeg. It's affordable, conveniently located on the Trans-Canada Highway, and is the only accommodation in the area that not only allows pets, but has a welcome package for your furry friend, containing a pet blanket, pet towel, and a dog treat. The rooms are very basic, but clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The on-site restaurant has a varied menu at affordable prices. I really enjoyed my linguine pescatore with the Caesar side salad.
