I have stayed at a lot of Kimpton’s and this one did not disappoint . The staff was happy to help and the rooms were very comfortable. It was in a very convenient location- easy to get transportation as well as walk around the city.

We booked this hotel because it showed as 4.5 stars but in reality it is a 2 star hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are so old and in desperate need of upgrades! Noise from the street in our room even though we were on the 12th floor. Front desk staff was wonderful!

this hotel needs a facelift. room smelled like dog urine. duvets flat and dingy, pillows lumpy. carpeting had spots all over it, shower curtain? who uses that in a hotel. will not book there again.

Disappointing stay
Booked this hotel because Kimpton hotels have always been consistently good in my experience but this property was disappointing. First impression was bad because there is no signage indicating where to park and no valet out front (you basically have to leave your car in the middle of the street.) Reception and lobby were dated in terms of decor and some of the furniture was ripped. Front desk staff was not especially friendly. Elevator carpet was worn through in patches and there was graffiti scratched into the elevator wallpaper. Hallway outside of our room smelled of urine (hopefully dog?). Breakfast room service came in a take out bag, not real room service with plates and cutlery. Pros: our room was comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean and in good condition. Housekeeping febreezed the crap out of the dog pee smell, which worked for a while (pee smell came back though.) Bathroom was dated but otherwise in good shape.

This hotel is falling behind. Lobby is shabby for such an expensive place: eg torn upholstery, worn rugs. Lots of smaller details suffer: eg No coffee/tea in room, tea in lobby was cold. Will not return.

Great location and very nice!
What a wonderful place to stay! The free happy hour was the best I'd ever been to with music and food! Check in was easy and valet was so nice! Easy walk to Pikes Place. Some people complain about the homeless area, but it's not the hotels fault and it's everywhere. Police are there so felt very safe. Will absolutely come again!
