The hotel is very isolated and travel on the roads around the hotel was difficult in the weather conditions. The room was fantastic but the curtains didn't cover the windows, with people out walking was a bit of a privacy concern. The geothermal pool and sauna were really good and great to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Food offering was limited which with no real option to eat away from the hotel was frustrating but the food we had was high standard.

Entire experience was fantastic, great food, wonderful staff, nice hot springs, remote location with fabulous scenery and hiking, yet not far from Reykjavik. There were many positives about this very special and unique place, will definitely return in the future if possible.

Great property. Unigue architecture. Nice thermal pool to soak. Breakfast not included is a downside when other hotels in the area offer, especially with no food options available. It is a remote location. Beautiful.

Very special hotel but overpriced
Spectacular setting of this very specially designed hotel. However, I would say that it is slightly overpriced given the level of interior design and amenities, which did not live up to the very high expectations I had and given the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful, fantastic food. We did not use the spa so couldnā€˜t speak about that.
