One awful food item on the menu: the squash and quinoa dinner. It was inedible, and it didn't have to be as squash and quinoa together are delicious. Squash was completely black on the outside and leathery inside, and the quinoa wasn't close to being cooked (it was crunchy). It was horrible. Everything else was just fine!

Die Lodge ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Der relativ hohe Preis rechtfertigt sich nicht wirklich durch die Unterkunft sondern allein durch die hervorragende Lage im Nationalpark. Die Mitarbeiter waren aber alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Arrived late in evening 9pm, pitch black everywhere minimal lighting in car parks and not obvious how to get to bedroom buildings which are some way from reception. Given newspaper style sheet of information with poor map purporting to show how to get from there to the rooms. Room blocks up unlit paths from poorly lit car parks then into a three storey block with no lifts or offer of help - Iā€™m 75 and whilst fairly healthy I did struggle a bit. Generally got a sense of an education institution not a quality hotel and certainly disappointing for the fairly hefty costs. Would not recommend it. Sequoia Park fabulous though!

We enjoyed our stay. The property is in good proximity to General Sherman and Moro Rock. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside was we had a lot of luggage and it was not easy to get it up to the hotel. There is a hill to go up and no elevators.
