Resort fee is high considering problems

The $50 resort fee for one night frustrated me due to the following things: The fridge in the room was opened and turned all the way down aka not cold for my use. There were supposed to be reusable water bottles in the room. There were plastic bottles. The towel I used in the pool smelled like mildew. The coffee station in the room had only decaf coffee and tea and when I tried to make tea, the machine lot up, sounded like it was working but did not. Not sure why the resort fee if $50 with issues like these.

For the most part, the resort was very enjoyable. Beautiful building with nice decor. Staff was helpful and quite friendly. The attendants who help you unpack/move your luggage were quick and kind. The breakfast ($20) was pretty good. The major issue with our stay was that our bathroom had a leak through the floor so that a small puddle kept forming in the middle of the room. Management quickly relocated us to a nicer room which we were thankful for. It was still unfortunate that we had to pack our stuff up again and move. Besides that, little bits of trash left in the room from previous stays, wobbly/failing handles on cabinets and sadly the heated pool was barely heated. Still pretty cold so we stayed in the hot tub. Against their own rules, children were still in the pool past 10pm. Valet/parking fees were unexpected but with no parking nearby, there is no other choice. Overall good stay but there were small troubles that were irritating in the moment. Hopefully, other hotel-goers and the resort themselves will read this review.

Great hotel! Location and cleanliness

Great stay. Check-in was easy. There seems to be lots of fun activities during the say for guests. Close in proximity to casinos few steps away. Room was very clean and comfy. Loved the indoor heated pool. Food was great.

For its name being margarita village they did not have any blended margaritas. It was a let down the bar tender did not have a blender. 😮

The property was amazing, unfortunately the customer service was not. I arrived at the front desk and was not greeted nor acknowledged for a good 30 seconds. Even as I stood right in front of the employee. Once she was ready she was rude and not helpful at all. She didn’t even tell me about the $30 food credit. I was told upon check out from a different and nice employee about it. So thankfully I was able to use it.

Staff seemed “put out” when we has any issues, often said basically ‘that’s not my department.” We had 2 rooms and the heating and air didn’t work in one for 2 days. Staff kept saying there’s nothing they could do but we persisted and they finally sent someone who fixed it in about 30 minutes. The entire lobby was closed for a New Year’s party for only ages 21 & upon New Year’s Eve but we could watch & hear the whole thing from our balcony. Shouldn’t market as a “family” resort when NYE was closed to anyone under 21. Looked like there were very few people there anyway. Bars don’t open til 4. We would have gladly spent $ on drinks there if bar was open earlier but had to go elsewhere. Hot tub was NASTY.
