Very quiet, not super clean
Very friendly staff. Room was extremely quiet. Biggest complaint was that the room required cleaning after I got checked in. Also, whirlpool tub didn't work, but we hadn't intended on using it anyway.

I only spent one night and it was good for the purpose. Room was clean and updated. The view to the lake amazing!. Staff person at check in at late night was very helpfull and friendly. Breakfast is just a snack but enough to start the day. We did not use any other hotel amenities but looked good. In general was perfect for waht we were looking for.

The only thing I liked was the lakefront view. The Bavarian Haus was the worst hotel I had ever stayed at! Dirty, dirty, dirty! The beach and grass area leading to the beach was covered with dog poop. The woman at the desk said it was goose poop-either way, it was an unhealthy and unsafe environment. Do not stay at this dump!!

Loved the view of the lake and sitting on the small patio. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However there was no ice in the ice machine and the vending machine would not accept bills or change.

Stayed 2 nights to visit Musining Picture Rock after a day of travel to get to St Ignace, then 2 hours to get there. Left early on the third day to get back in time for 2 baptisms. I liked that possibly all rooms faced the lake. I didn't know how to get to the beach area but I could have asked. The stool was from 1955. (Round bowl, slow to flush and low to the floor.)

We stayed for one night in july 2024. It was a good experience. Had a nice view of the lake and the morning breakfast was good. My only gripe was the pillows on the bed were too thin. My neck was sore the following morning.

Nice beach and access to the lake.
The hotel is very dated and has a musty smell. It has a nice beach area. Not far from the ferry over to Mackinac Island.
