NOOOOOOO!!!!!

Older boutique hotel right in the heart of Charlotte Amalie. The place is hillside with minimal parking. It’s a shame that this property has soooo much potential and could be renovated into a charming oasis. Instead, it’s moldy, awful beds, toilet not working, and shabby throughout- like stepping back to a 1972 Motel 6 that needed repairs. We literally had to turn the water on/off at the valve to flush otherwise it leaked and ran. It was turned off when we arrived, so they knew. For some reason this place insists on making and copying a copy of your ID. we only stayed one night before our return flight. I asked for the copy back and they refused. There is no valid reason to keep a copy. I am beyond frustrated. Restaurant onsite. Subpar food at ridiculous prices with auto gratuity added. If you need to sleep cheap for a night, you might be able to tolerate it. I will never return to this dump.

I like the place this is the second time I stayed. It’s not fancy but clean and I didn’t have any concerns about safety. It’s close to the water, down town, restaurants and shopping.

Good experience overall

As a black female solo traveller, I felt safe when I stayed at this hotel. At the same time, it is a bit old. My bedroom was very clean, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. I would recommend it for a night or two, but no longer. The staff running the business were very kind and helpful. It is a family-run hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. I would recommend it as a quick stop.

While the location was optimal for a short walk to downtown, the accommodations, general area/environment and overall appearance and functionality of the hotel were quite sub par and not at all what it was advertised/described as. Very disappointed with everything and frustrated that Expedia rated this so high. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights and barely made it through one night (leaving at 830am after our first night).

Good stop over

The staff working the front desk was great- the let us leave bags before checkin and after check out. The room was clean and the hotel was an easy walk to Main Street. We stayed after a cruise before flying out which was very convenient. The electricity was inconsistent (I think a common problem on the island) and when the internet went out at night it never came back we couldn’t watch tv. We had a couple mosquitos in our room. The pool appeared clean but we didn’t use it. There is also a complimentary breakfast we didn’t eat, a restaurant in the hotel, and a lunch place next door.

Hello! On my 1st vacation to St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, I stayed at the Bunker Hill hotel. I like the staff, the food from their continental breakfast and their dinner restaurant. I appreciate the room service. The staff is very nice. I felt safe, and I'm completely satisfied with the overall service.

Great, affordable hotel

Hotel was great at an affordable cost! Little outdated, but I think almost all hotels here are unless you want to spend a fortune at a resort. The restaurant attached was great and even opened on New Year’s Day when guests started asking if it was open. Great continental breakfast! Only downfall is the location and taxis, it’s a little out of the way but we were able to make do every time we needed a taxi

I’d read beforehand this place had character and boy does it! It is anything but a cookie-cutter franchise hotel. Not only is it nestled into the heart of Charlotte-Amalie, but its floor-plan is as varied and meandering as the winding streets of the neighborhood in which it resides. Beware that the road it’s on is one-way, and that the direction changes for a couple hours in the early evening; Google can’t be trusted to catch that nuance. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. It made for a very memorable stay and my wife and I loved it.

I booked the three beds and it was way better in person than what was shown on the website! I didn’t catch their names but the day and night receptionists was amazing and kind. There was little issues that we had during our stay but it was nothing inconvenient. They just need a bit upgrading and it would be way better. If you go to the restaurant on site, you need to try their rum cake!

We stayed at this property the 24th through the 29th December and during our stay for two days we had little to no electricity one day we had no water, rooms are very basic, showers need a good scrubbing. Spoke to front desk about the electric electricity problem and was told it was the electric company’s fault, which was an outright lie. No air conditioning, TV, Internet, water pressure was basically non-existent. I cannot in good conscience. recommend this hotel. Stay away!
