Loved the food and atmosphere. Awesome that is was only about an hr from The Portland Metro area, so the drive was easy. We had a great time playing the mini putt putt course too.

The resort is beautiful, but could be better maintained. The food was mediocre, overall, though our dinner entrees in the main dining room were very good. We would come again for the ambiance and beautiful views.

Skamania is located in a beautiful setting in the Columbia gorge. Many activities are avaiable, golf, biking, zipline, hiking, an adventure course, but there is plenty of room to relax as well. The pool and hot tubs are wonderful. They did seem a little understaffed and there were long waits for the dining room even with reservations. I would still recommend Skamania to others.

I was unimpressed for what we paid. Everything is very basic and rather dated. Beyond that I had hurt my knee so on crutches and they put us in a room about as far away as possible. We ate dinner in the restaurant. Big mistake. It is really set up for the many corporate retreats that use the lodge. It was loud, absurdly slow and the food was over priced for what it was. Our waitress was horrible. Our room was just OK, again very dated. They need to remodel to charge what they charge. The TV was not working so I called the front desk, they said they would send someone up. No one came. Luckily we figured it out. Definitely NOT going back, absolutely not worth the price.

Bed was very uncomfortable. Food was very good. Grounds were beautiful.
