My room was old and tired in terms of decor and amenities. Old dusty curtains on the windows, a view of a brick wall a few feet away, tiny shelf in the bathroom, no place to put any toiletries. Long wait to check-in (approx 10 mins). Not the classy King Edward I remember . . . .

This was our first time in Toronto and this hotel was wonderful. Alex at the front desk was friendly and upgraded us to a premier room. The room was spacious and the only fault was there was no grab bars in the shower. I feel that these should be in every shower since even if you are young, these would be a safer option. The hotel was located near a subway station, trams and buses. Many coffee shops and restaurants near by.

This was such a nice stay while I was in town for work. The subway is right down the street for easy train access to the airport (faster than driving with construction traffic). The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are well-appointed. Very comfortable bed and pillows... my most important feature. The bar/restaurant had excellent food and wine pairings. I enjoyed the staff there immensely. Would absolutely return.
