Lovely historical hotel, with parking as a bonus. Short walk into town. Had a single room, cosy, newly decorated bathroom which was nice. Had a harbour view which was really the most amazing thing about the room, it was stunning to see the harbour. Hotel informed of an event in the evening, but didn’t really hear much and even with creaky old floors around. Lots of tea and coffee supplies and some shortbread. Breakfast was nice, although could have had a bigger eggs Benedict, as it was half muffin with 2 eggs and ham. I should have chosen more but didn’t realise it would be a little small. Overall, comfortable stay, lovely view, close to town.

4 Night Stay
Service in Restaurant ( supposedly silver service- hmm , poor) Pub below even worse! They need to train their waitng staff- even if they are temporary students etc for summer. If they are long term full time , then thetes no hope! Great views and plenty of excellent restaurants in town , 10-12 min walk. Good location and great views!

Fabulous
Fabulous hotel. The staff are really helpful and great service. This was my third stay here, it is a firm favourite. The food in both the restaurant & the pub is great and perfect location to walk into Falmouth.

Average Ratings for a UK Staycation
Average for what is expected as a UK vacation. The hotel was comfortable, fairly clean (but some areas would benefit from a deep clean or attention to detail - i.e. skirting boards being hoovered and/or wiped down), service at Reception was good, some of the staff working in other areas of the hotel (the bar and pub downstairs) could benefit from doing customer service training and learning how to communicate with customers.

If your going to Falmouth I’d recommend it.
The hotel was perfectly acceptable, the rooms were clean and in good decorative order. The cocktails were great, the beers not so. Service was generally excellent except for a slightly uncomfortable check in where a complementary newspaper(no,I didn’t know they still did them) became a mandatory newspaper when they seemed unable to grasp the concept of me not wanting one. It arrived the following morning and went straight in the bin. Would I stay there again, no. Not because of the hotel but because Falmouth is the least nice place I’ve visited in Cornwall. It’s just quite grim and tired, there’s plenty of bars and things to see and do but it’s not pretty. I’m sure there are some nice parts, I just didn’t see any.

Lovely old hotel in beautiful location
We stay just for an extra night after a week in Cornwall. It is a very old hotel which has been beautifully renovated. Attention to detail in the room was outstanding. Provided plenty of big thick plush towels And bathrobe and slippers. Toiletries were provided. Tea coffee facilities with lovely home-made Shortbread was a lovely touch. The beds were comfortable and good quality bedding.. The only problem we had was the room was that we couldn’t open the window much and it was too hot. However, apparently there was a fan in the wardrobe that we didn’t see. The customer service here was outstanding, particularly in the restaurant. The parking was a bit awkward as it was a busy Saturday evening, but we managed to park in the basement eventually. There were interesting photos and letters and information about the hotel history which is really interesting to us as my partners family have stayed there over three generations going back to 1920s.
