The pool areas were very nice. They had live bands playing in the afternoon. The bummer was the music stops and the pool bars close at 6:00 PM. The room was just OK. Mediocre/outdated. Our room did not have a shower! We had to stand up in the bathtub with a handheld hose. We also had a combination washer and dryer in our unit which did not work. They were very responsive to come and fix it Right away. Then it broke again. I ran my clothes through the dryer four times of two hours each. After that, they came and replaced it with the exact same unit and we had the exact same problem, resulting in us spending our last night going up and down the stairs with Soaking wet clothes to use a working dryer in an empty room. They did take a little bit of money off my bill to compensate for all the frustration.

This was our first time staying at Kingsland. Although the property was nice and clean we were a little disappointed that the pool water slide closed at 6pm as well as the bar and food area. I rented 2 rooms for me and my family as we were visiting for a death in the family and was pretty disappointed that our rooms weren’t closer together and the room I rented for my sister had dirty sheets as well as the sliding door to the lanai and her bathroom were off the track broken. Our room was nice just the floors were dusty and the rug seemed like it hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile. Also were missing batteries from our tv remote which were quickly replaced when I contacted the number they gave me. I probably wouldn’t stay here again for the price we paid a night I expected more. Our last stay we stayed at Club Kohala and I will probably book there next trip if its available.

I thought the resort was beautiful. The only thing I would have enjoyed would be a place to rest like a bench with some small shelter. It was very hot and while area was walkable. It was quite a long walk in the heat to restaurants and shopping areas.

Besides the concierge and a few waiters at the bistro in the clubhouse the employees seemed like they would rather be anywhere else than working. I get that somedays you don't want to be at work but you have to put on a smile and be pleasant when working in customer service. Our room was nice besides the shower having mold and the inside of the toilet had black smeared stuff. We had our room cleaned on the deep clean day and they took all of our towels and didn't replace them. We had to call twice and eventually I had to walk over to the clubhouse to ask for towels. It's been awhile since I have stayed in a resort and will definitely go back to VRBO. The hidden charges/fees to stay in the resort are ridiculous and with the employees not making the stay better I would rather not pay for the extras. The pools are definitely nice if you have young kids and the adult pool was great if you wanted to swim and lay out somewhere with less people.

We always enjoy coming to Kings Land but this go around was a little disappointing for the first time. Not major concerns but I feel like I should atleast let them know how they can improve. For one, our shower had black mold all in the grout and in the one corner of our shower, can see it spreading in the walls. We also don’t appreciate the 7:45 AM daily knock(s) for house keeping. Our unit didn’t have a do not disturb sign and we didn’t get one until the last day. You would think if no one answers at the first to idk, why do you keep knocking? It was like that every morning. Lastly, the pool chair cushions were just gross. All stained with assuming body oil and sunscreen. Some had a foul smell. Some had bird poop on them as well. I think it is time to consider new cushions and maybe one in a different color so it would atleast hide all stains? Overall, will we return? Yes we do love going there - just a few things that may need to address. Oh, and please extend checkout past 10 AM. We wouldn’t go and do the breakfast buffet for a birthday celebration bc we wouldn’t have time to come back and pack up and go. They wouldn’t allow us to have even an hour later check out- would appreciate atleast 11 AM.
