I like the ease of parking and the cleanliness of the property. I have been using this hotel for over 25 years in some capacity or other and it has been good and bad. We stayed here most recently, about 20 months ago when we were relocated from the Cheshunt Marriot, as our booking was cancelled due to them using it for migrants. I was very disappointed with both the staff and standards in the hotel then. However, I thought I’d give it one last chance, and am happy to say it has very much improved in every way. The staff were charming and moved us to a different room as soon and I reported the air con wasn’t working. Nothing was a problem. Very refreshing these days!

Pretty average hotel. Looks nice on entrance but rooms very basic and dated. No plugs by bedside, in fact only one plug by desk opposite side of room. Evening meal very good, but breakfast was pitiful. Dried out hot breakfast, no taste to sausages(are they sausages??) or bacon, scrambled egg (powdered?) no fried or poached no white bread. May be suits large corporate groups but otherwise a pretty poor experience

Nice hotel the only thing i would say is that the pool was closed and the gym was not very big which is ok however it was always busy and not much space to work out

Not the best stay sadly
Sadly the hotel was let down by facilities. Air conditioning was not working in our room which made the heat unbearable, our room also wasn’t cleaned during our stay which when your room is hot and sweaty isn’t ideal. Also a word for guests with mobility issues there is no lift in the hotel. Reception member of staff George was incredibly helpful but too many things let the hotel down. The air con is essential when in London and particularly when the windows only open ajar for safety reasons. It was incredibly uncomfortable.

Arrived after 5 hours of driving to be told we have your reservation confirmed but we don’t have a room for you. Issue with the system and there’s nothing we can do. There was No attempts to contact me whatsoever Had to book a different hotel immediately which costed me twice as much. No responsibility taken for the situation which was not my fault.

Overall good with a couple of hiccups
The room was beautiful and very nice but a bit of a let down from a couple of points of view. The room service Continental Breakfast was a disappointment to say the least. Also the TV Internet connection doesn’t work very well. You can login with your own Youtube account, so I did that and purchased a movie on my account so we can watch it on the tv. Didn’t get past the first 3 seconds and it kept getting stuck. A waste of money

Too Hot for AC to Work
It was the end of our vacation through Europe. Thought I would splurge on our last room and make room shopping easier. Felt a Marriott property was a no brainer. Lobby was nice (cool) Our room was very hot, maintenance came to fix it said it would take a couple hours to cool off. We went into the city returned to the room, the thermostat was reset to 22C and the room was again extremely hot. Reception gave us some fans (we had to move furniture to plug them in, slept poorly. Room was warm but tolerable by morning. Went to the City, returned to an even hotter room, (thermostat reset again) still uncomfortable in the morning. Got a new room for the 3rd night, still hot. Asked for a rate reduction, was told because they gave us fans the problem was fixed. So there would be no reason for a price reduction. Was also told the failing A/C was not the properties fault because it was too hot out for the A/C to work. The room was hot enough to severely deform Chocolates we previously purchased (Lindor) The staff was understanding and tried to help, Management however though polite was entirely dismissive (a little condescending with the too hot for AC comment I thought). It was 28C outside, too hot for the A/C to work…. Expected more from Marriott.
