First time staying here and overall it was a great place to stay. Nice big clean room and a decent tv. Excellent host and will definitely be returning when next in the area.

Great place to stay
One night transit stay. The room was clean. The in room breakfast was very good with plenty of choice in cereal & milk, yoghurt, fruit juice, grain bar and apples. All for a very good price of £50 per room.

Fantastic staff and service. The food portion size in the pub was generous, and the breakfast tray was a nice touch. Unfortunately, in the room itself the air con was broken, the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable, the decor was dated, and the blinds were not blackout. I was awoken early by the bins being emptied.

Very friendly staff and a lovely clean room. And the food in the bar was just fine. Everything I needed for an overnight stay before getting the Eurotunnel the following morning.

Extremely comfortable business stay
A really amazing traditional pub with a few rooms at the back. Rooms are spotless, decent size with everything you need provided. Staff really friendly and helpful. Can’t wait till I’m back in the area to stay again. Highly recommended.

Not bad but should be better
Check in was slow, not sure all the staff knew what to do. We thought our booking was not there, seemed in question but all was ok. Room was clean and tidy, no problems, breakfast was a basket of cereals and fruit, milk was also in fridge in room. Would have prefered cooked breakfast for £100 a night. Biggest dissapointment was the mattress which was very soft and moved all over the place if you moved, needs a decent matress. Overall could be better, little things, staff traing etc but a better matress would make big difference

The pub was closed on Monday and Tuesdays so it meant a drive to go and get dinner, not what you need after a days work and travelling.

Really pleasant accommodation
Very pleasant stay over. Super clean rooms and very comfortable. Despite the unforeseen hot weather, the room was relatively cool and had a great nights sleep. The area around the accommodation is really nice. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice location, lovely pub, good food and ambience Room 3 can be looked into from the car park even with blinds closed, looking straight at the bed, so I did not feel relaxed at night. It needs curtains there. The timer was wrong so it was too cold in the evening.
