I fancied a short break in the Weymouth area and this was the cheapest accommodation available. Although I had read the reviews before booking and knew what to expect, I was still frustrated at the lack of facilities. It is indeed a no-frills stay, but as a seasoned budget traveller I'm used to paying much less for a room and receiving much more in return, i.e. cooked breakfast, complimentary shower & shampoo sachets, blackout curtains, and mini fridge in room - none of these were here. The positives were that the room was clean, staff were friendly and the room had a pedestal fan which was needed in the summer.

No water at all coming from the hot tap, dirty stains on bed, fan thick with dust, vanity light didn’t work. Landing light on all night and glass window over the door so room flooded with light all night. Internet had no connection and no parking space, had to risk parking in residents only area overnight. No one to report concerns too as back after 11pm and pub closed. Only the cleaner in on Friday morning at 8am when I left. I wouldn’t have stayed at all if my drive wasn’t 7hrs. I drove 14hrs in 2 days on no sleep. Tried to contact via phone myself and never any answer. Expedia customer service tried to call 4 times & no answer. I’d have let the water slide if I’d have had any sleep.

There was no parking on the Friday night so had to park away from hotel and walk back. Bed mattress needs replacing but other than that it was quiet.The hosts were very nice. I would describe the room as compact it was a god job we did not bring our dog

Perfect for a simple stay, close to town
Lovely welcome to my solo one night stay. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Was slightly worried when saw it was a pub but was in a residential area and very quiet. I returned before 11pm and it was silent. Has a few parking spaces which I managed to use but there would be no problem with free parking on the street. Just a short walk to the seafront and town. Staff very friendly. Perfect for a simple stay, close to local attractions.

As soon as I walked in to the hotel bar it was so friendly. The staff and locals were chatty and so friendly. Check in was easy and the place has a homely feel. The single room is comfortable and cosy and has everything I need as a single traveller. Fully recommend. I love it here.

The room we were put in was not suitable at all, the bathroom facilities were poor, the shower was not suitable for an adult size person, bar staff were excellent, continental breakfast was a loaf of bread and orange juice, sorry but not stay there again, we even left the second night and went somewhere else

Budget accommodation with rooms above the local pub. The single room I stayed in was rather small and quite dated, but with the window open for ventilation it was good enough for a night's sleep. Staff was friendly and continental buffet breakfast OK. Parking was on the street and a bit tight, but I managed to get a place. Location is OK and it's an easy 30 minute drive to the Tank Museum.
