First of all, please note my review is a very situational one. I have Celiac so I cannot have gluten or I will get very ill. The ONLY bad thing about my stay was the lack of options for me to eat on property, then every vending machine I went to on property was not working for cards or cash, so I couldn’t even get safe snacks from the vending machine. The on site gift shop did not have good safe food options for me either. However that being said, the staff was wonderful. For example, there was a wonderful server Tyler at the Garden Bistro who was helpful with the gluten — by the way that was the only on site restaurant with gluten free, safe food options. All the staff were so kind and helpful and knowledgeable about the property. The museums and shops were amazing. The amenities were good. The mini golf was a bit run down but it just seemed like it needed updating — I saw they were doing construction in other parts of the resort and I know only so much can be done at once. Aside from the food options and a few things being a bit outdated, it was just lovely.

We had a great time and would recommend the resort, but we we surprised that our room didn’t have a fridge. Staff was not overly friendly, except for the Jim the landscaper. He is a retired teacher and stopped to talk to us and tell us all about the resort. We loved the outdoor pool and took some really nice walks. We eat at the resort.

This place is a hidden gem of WV! Very reminiscence of the resort from Dirty Dancing. I wish we had known before going that they were under construction for remodel, but will be making another trip to see what they have done!!!

My car was actually struck by a golfball and it left a large dent. Manager was unsympathetic and rude. I felt so unsafe to drive around since management implied it may happen again. The facilities were dirty and I even woke up to a roach on the bed. Just a single roach, very strange. The linen also gave me some sort of allergic reaction. Indoor pool closed, cafe/some dining closed for renovations and only SOME spa services available on SOME days (not listed anywhere) I attempted to get a refund but the property denied compensation. If you are looking to just golf and an enclosed space to lay ur head, you'll be ok. I made the mistake of expecting resort quality. The staff that wasn't management was lovely and trying their best. Cantina food and drink was good. The zoo was cute. Outdoor pool was crowded and unsanitary, but that's expected with a closed indoor pool. Facilities overall were dated, dingy, and in need of update. All in all, staff was lovely, management was terrible, and the property should be called something other that "resort"

We either got burned in the shower or we froze. The water didn’t drain in the tub. There was almost no water pressure. My kids and I had to wash our hair as soon as we got home because we couldn’t get the shampoo and conditioner out in the shower. All the restaurants were closed so quick food wasn’t an option. I was traveling with kids so this was less than convenient. The snack machine was broken by the arcade and wouldn’t take payment so we were taken to the staff one to get something. Appreciated but if i am paying the extra money to stay at a resort shouldn’t be the case. The pool was nice. The kids loved it. It was too rainy for the zoo or most outside activities which was unfortunate.

Granted, I rented the least expensive, and obviously most rustic, room, it still should've been cleaned adequately. There was a dirty sock behind one, and trash behind both nightstands; and so many cobwebs, I didn't dare stick my hand back there to plug in my phone charger. There were water and toothpaste spittle spots on the shelf in the bathroom. And I had to douse the room with odor eliminator to get rid of the horrible odor. There were also cigarette butts all around the "patio." The only reason I kept the room is because the bed and towels LOOKED clean!
