We had some real problems with the North 40 Resort, which was very unfortunate given how lovely the property is. The gist of the matter is that when we checked in, we let them know that we had a really important telephone call the next morning at 10:30am, and made a special request to have some leeway with the 11:00am check out.
The person who checked us in informed us that it would be no problem if we stayed longer, until say 11:30am or 12pm. Evidently, that message was never conveyed to the morning staff. The front desk called me at 11:15am and very rudely reminded me that check out time was 11am. I explained that we had arranged a slightly later check out because of a commitment we had at 10:30am and were assured that this was not going to be a problem. When we got out to front desk on the way out and returned the keys, I thanked them for the extra 20-30 minutes, and got another rude remark.
This was really unfortunate given that they only about three cabins occupied the previous night. It should have been really easy for them to accommodate us.
Given the customer service debacles at North 40, I don't think I could recommend them to anyone. Sorry about that!
