This is an old historic property and it shows. That aside it is quiet and comfortable. Amenities were good. The Safari Club restaurant isn’t worth the price; limited menu, mediocre food, poorly trained wait staff. There is an extensive collection for dead animals mounted to the wall that was not appealing and made it hard to eat a meal.

Property is old and the rooms are getting worse. Our toilet seat was literally about 12” above the floor. Vanity was not much higher. I’ve never seen anything like that. No elevator and door at top of stairs has so many handprints it’s disgusting. Dirty tissue on floor in the hallway at top of stairs. For three days! You can be an old property and still be clean. Seems owners are not willing to invest

The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. The hotel is very old and there were holes in the walls of the room by each bed that you could tell they just put putty in to try and fix. Our bathroom had hair in the sink and in the counter, when you sat in the toilet you felt like it was going to fall over. The hallway was very dark and missing trim all down it. This hotel could use some fixing up as it’s in a great location but very very run down. You can hear everything in the hall and what’s going on outside.

Odd hotel in Thermopolis, WY
Hotel is very old. Has some lipstick since the old Holiday Inn, but needs an entire facelift! And a new name if they are going to display ever fish and animal and adventure trip taken by god-knows-who…it’s an overload for a hotel in the middle of the state if WY!!! Won’t stay again. It needs a purpose, less stuffed animals and endless photos, and a do-over!

Rooms were unavailable due to no housekeeping staff, the room that was assigned had no art in the room, the toilet was about to tip over because the tile on the floor was cracked all around it. The shower curtain smelled of mildew. However the new tv system was an upgrade
