Overall happy with our stay at Allenby Park Motel. The room had been fully renovated and had nice beds and a really nice brand new bathroom. Well priced room with friendly customer service located in a very handy location close to Westfield mall, rainbows end etc.

Free parking, and thats about the only positive thing. Waited about 30mins for the receptionist so we could check in, even tried calling a few times the number shown on the "back in 5mins sign" no answer. The security number also no answer. Then when the receptionist finally arrived, he then needed to go check if our room is clean. We booked the night before and arrived early hours the next morning which was communicated in advance to the hotel, yet about an hour of the check in process. The paintings hanging in the lobby look like someone draw over it inappropriate photos. Corridor gives out a hospital haunted vibe, then the room itself was shocking. The different tables and furniture look like its from the rubbish on the roads, holes on walls and doors. Tea coffee condiments thrown on the table not on a plate/box or anything. Door doesnt have safety lock, and shower head sprays to one side only. We booked for a few days and the reception desk always had the "back in 5mins" sign up. Security look uninterested in guests, should work at a nightclub instead of hotels. We decided to leave a day early of our prepaid booking, had an uneasy feeling from the whole place. Do-not book this place, unless you have no where else to go in Auckland. It should be called a hostel/motel or even better shut down and renovate.

The room itself was nice, but my only problem would be having to use the bathroom tap (where the toilet is) to fill the kettle so we could have a cup of tea, also having to use the same bathroom sink to wash the cups and utensils. Outside of the room was in poor condition, with it being dirty and unappealing to the eye. The room was super clean, beds were clean and comfortable.
