Second time staying at the Solitaire hotel during our Thailand trip. First time, we got a room upgrade hence why we lower this review to a "Good" and not "Excellent" as well as not accepting debit cards or American Express for the 2,000 Baht room deposit. We wanted to use the remaining 2,000 Baht during our last few days rather than having it on the day of check out and flying back home. They accept all other credit cards... Still, it was great. Good spacious room for a Deluxe. Good amenities. Tasty breakfast. Convenient location at the end of Soi 11, so quieter.

Overall, this is not a bad properties and I mat use it again. However: with that said, there is a very distinct smell outside all the rooms in the common area on all floor that is just disturbing. Beverages in the bar on the roof is ridiculously overpriced….other than that, There is room for improvement with the breakfast menu and while some employees at breakfast/ dinning room perform proficiently, professionally and with care, others have no interest at all.

After a 23 hour flight and a one hour taxi ride from the airport to the hotel traffic was horrendous. I just wanted to get into the room, but I had to wait an hour until about 2 o’clock because it wasn’t clean yet. So I had to walk around the neighborhood for an hour before I could check in and take a shower. Overall, the staff was pleasant. The room was clean and the location was within walking distance to all the fun.

Had a pleasure staying experience at Solitaire. Booked for the Grand deluxe club sky, did not expect that we having exclusive access to the club sky lounge where you can dinning on the top floor. Something more special is Club sky lounge have happy hour that giving you free drinks and food. Awesome! Shout out to the staffs as well they were all friendly and professional!

I initially was trying to.cancel my reservation because i read the reviews of the place afterwards. What i read was not flattering to this hotel. I wasn't able to cancel and I already paid and had no choice. But i am glad that i went because the place was kool. I cant complained because i enjoyed my stay. Needs sound proofing!!!
Staff, pool, room and cleaning perfect. I didn’t rate the location. Always 20/30 minutes from big tourist attractions and walls paper thin!!! If you want to hear other people’s alarm clocks, partying outside, motor bikes, and peoples night activities go ahead and book here

I loved this hotel, really classy chic feel and the Staff are brilliant, they soon get to know you and what you like. The food in the bar is amazing. Im currently on crutches and it was difficult to get to the pool because of steps, though the rooms are spacious and accessible, you wouldn't be able to get to the bar or pool if you're in a wheelchair. Outside the pavements all over Bangkok are uneven, broken and with loads of manhole covers with big holes, big enough for my crutches to get through which makes it kinda dangerous, the kerbs are about 2 ft high and difficult to manage.. We didn't like the pushy concierge, I'm guessing they are on commission as everyday you're asked where are you going, do you want to go here or here , it put me off booking with them.
