Great place to stay, central to all sights.
Great location, near to all attractions. Bright and clean room with comfortable bed and high quality sheets. Breakfast was good quality, although limited selection on continental buffet. Hot buffet items were not replenished in a timely way and several things ran out. Pool temperature was a little bit too cool for us. Heated beds around the pool were lovely. Plenty of towels provided.

Anniversary break
The hotel feels new and is consequentially very clean. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room were very well maintained. There were issues where the bar staff did not deduct the 20% credit that we had been advised we were entitled to and he said he could do nothing about it! The matter was however dealt with very efficiently by the manager. Breakfast was a big problem as when we went to get the hot buffet all of the trays were empty. We were told it was because they had been caught out by the busy period and not because they were short staffed. As they would have known the number of guests this should not have been a problem. The matter was again dealt with very efficiently by the restaurant manager. We were more than happy with the responses from the staff "on the ground" however both problems arose from bad training or planning and systems arranged at management level.

Great place to stay
Very friendly welcome on arrival. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable and nice toiletries. Good location, close to restaurants, shops and the train station. We were travelling with bikes and there was a secure place to leave in the hotel or they were happy for us to take o into the room. Highly recommend.

Exceeded expectation
I can see why this hotel gets such good reviews, the friendly service on arrival was lovely, fantastic size room, absolutely spotless throughout the hotel, the spa was amazing, photos dont do it justice, pool includes jacuzzi jet areas for relaxing and steam room and sauna plus 3 shower experiences as well as comfortable loungers around the pool. Had it to ourselves for a large part of both our sessions. Breakfast was good, and we got to enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and biscuits in our room, really comfy bed and pillows. Would definitely recommended and hope to return.
