A night in Birmingham
This small room was perfect for one night. What you need for a road trip. Although the size of the room felt larger, due to the well-placed mirrors. Bed linen and mattress were clean and comfortable. The shower cubicle seems small at first, but when used it proved to be sufficient, it was clean and the temperature of the water could be controlled, liquid soap and towels, including a towel sticking out of the shower, were provided. The floor could have been cleaner, but it wasn't terrible. At first we smelled a toilet in the room, but later it disappeared. The toilet was clean and extra toilet paper was available. What bothered me a bit was the noise of the air conditioner. The TV didn't work in the room, but we didn't care because there was free WiFi. At first, the door is difficult to open because there is a trick to the door opening card. They were nice and helpful at the reception. One of the receptionists spoke Hungarian, which we were happy about. The train station was about a 15-minute walk away. The price of the room was also favorable.

Budget hotel. Budget service.
Stayed in all of Accor brands previously. Stayed in this hotel before a renovation. I was really disappointed by the level of service given and how uncomfortable the bed was. Mattress... no it was a mattress topper. I could feel the wooden base all night. You can't get hold of the hotel when calling them. 2 weeks with no success and staff dismissive when i raised it. I wouldnt mind as much if they respinded to messages at least.

There were a number of homeless people and also drug takers in the surrounding areas making us feel unsafe. The room had a strong bad smell coming from the shower. The floor was dirty and looked like it hadnt been mopped in a long time. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
