Great Hotel
Room was lovely, the view was disappointing looked on to a grubby back roof. Staff were amazing , it was so hot, I asked for a fan for the room not a problem. Loved the fact it had parking , bonus was having the breakfast included in the price which was great

First the negatives:- The family room did not have sufficient beds to meet our booking requirements. A fold-up camp bed was provided at the second time of asking, just prior to bed time for the grand kids. The toilet flush was poor. The bathroom door did not lock. High levels of accumulated dust indicating lack of cleaning. Reception didn't answer the phone. The room safe was locked and needed to be reset by staff. Checking into the hotel took ~40 minutes, very much a free for all. For the positives, the morning breakfast was excellent, well managed and the food was good. Overall and negative stay. The staff seemed nice but on our evidence, the management appear to be lacking in the basic operations of running an hotel to an acceptable standard. The

The hotel itself is old and a bit dated but thats what i love about this hotel, the history of it, is amazing, where so many famous people have stayed. There was a couple of hic cups with our stay but the staff are so friendly, helpful and ready to put things right for you. I would like to thank Kelly and her great team for helping us and making everything perfect, we definitely recommend and we would happily return again for another stay. Thanks again.

We always enjoy visiting Blackpool; normally enhanced by choosing to stay at The Imperial Hotel. This time it was very noticeable that this property is struggling with staff numbers at reception and necessary refurbishment of rooms. Our check-in was completely compromised by one (very nice and overworked) receptionist; check-in took 30 minutes. Room 206 was given to us as a complimentary upgrade; a lovely touch. However. This room was very tired. Windows were dirty. Seating was worn and carpets are in need of replacement (both outside floor 2 and inside our room). Our bed was reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was adequately average. I understand the financial restrictions of refurbishing a hotel of this size, but if nothing improves and the current decline continues sadly The Imperial Hotel may become another Norbreck Castle.

The location is great - at a quieter end of the prom, right by the sea and directly opposite both tram and bus stops. The standard room was very small, with only about a foot between one side of the double bed and the wall, with no table or shelf. Staff were amazing, breakfast was fantastic (go down early if you don't want to queue!) and the bar was lively but not too much! Would definitely stay again (but will take a basket/folding stool for bedside items!).

How can they get Room service so wrong ?
Hotel always great rooms comfortable breakfast first class with plenty of choice and the service is excellent. Decided to order a pizza with room service this wasn’t such a good experience tried ringing two numbers provided in the hotel directory and it just rang out. I eventually went down to reception to order it to be fair the receptionist was very apologetic and said he would sort it. After an hour the pizza turned up with a waiter that had a bit of an attitude problem as if I was a nuisance to dare to request room service. I was charged 12.95 for the pizza and 5.00 tray charge which I expected but when I opened the box it was a leathery tough pizza base stone cold with approximately 3 inch diameter sauce smeared thinly on, it was totally inedible so I promptly put it outside the room door. Love this hotel but they really need to look at the service they provide for eating in the room it has truly let them down and I for one will never order again.

Modern Victorian Hotel.
The Imperial is a hotel with history and an air of the type of establishment enjoyed by colonials in Victorian days. Although the majority of the furniture in the lounges has been replaced by more contemporary units, it is still easy to envisage well dressed ladies and gentleman in period costume reading broadsheet staples such as the Telegraph or Times. This doesn't detract from a more modern equipment such as computers and tablets for checking in and the key card system of accessing rooms. The service from the staff resembled what you would imagine the fine ladies and gentlemen received. Nothing was too much or a rigmarole. We booked a basic room and it was Ronseal. Provided everything we needed. Thd breakfast buffet in the mornings was excellent, with the cooked element being fresh, hot and really quality ingredients. Overall, this was a great place, well located and great service. We would both love to rebook, and probably will.
